Recognizable, but I must admit I feel a greater sense of accomplishment when having done said dishes than when I finish a bag of Cheetos.

Come to think of it, I've never actually finished a bag of Cheetos. Probably due to the inevitable nausea at the halfway point. If I had to gauge experiencing nausea vs doing something menial like the dishes, I may end up choosing the latter every time. I find nausea to not be a pleasurable sensation.

This developing flu of mine I also find not to be a pleasurable sensation. What an odd expression by the way, "pleasurable sensation". Should be used in an advertisement: "Have you pleasured your sensations yet today?"

...I'll stop now.

I've heard good things about the Beyerdynamic DT 880 headphones, but they might be a bit costly. I don't have them myself, I own a pair of Sennheiser HD 550 cans which suit me fine for listening to music. I don't use them for music production though, I leave that to people with proper monitors.

I knew I should have renewed my resident-return visa last year (neglected it out of stupidity), because I did it today and was stung with an additional non-internet payment fee of $80 - what the fuck?!
I knew the government was greedy, but was this really necessary? Everyone at the counter advised me to renew online; credit card only, of course, and since I don't have one of those (for better or worse), I swallowed my pride and paid. :chain:

On the bright side, I still have enough in my account to live on; add my upcoming paycheck and subtract rent and I'm still relatively set for the next few weeks; not much, but enough for things I need. Not everyone can say that, I suppose.

There was a fee for not paying over the internet? What the heck? I've never heard of anything like that.

Mitch Hedburg, I think, was one of the most brilliant comics to ever walk this earth. I wish I could have known about him before he died.

While I must sadly miss Devin this year, I can be consoled by two things:
I've seen him twice live before (and even met him once) and,
Due to the upcoming releases in 2014, there's a good chance I'll get an opportunity to see him again.

Just wondering if Anyone else here is experiencing massive login slowness on Windows 7 after the recent "patch Tuesday" load of updates?

Before the patches, hitting enter after typing your password would bring up the deskto almost instantly, then just a little while of loading. Now, I get a totally black screen, then the desktop background, followed by all the icons and shit sloooowly trickling in. Seriously, Microsoft, what gives?

Guess I'll have to try rolling back to a restore point prior to the updates...

Hmmm, I didn't get any slowdowns after the desktop had finished loading. And now when I tried shutting down and starting up again, login was back to normal speed. Possibly some random quirk then? :?
