The sequel to my favourite movie of all time, written by the writer of the worst movie I've paid to watch in several years.

Not sure if I'm making today more difficult than it needs to be, or if I've walked into a trap.

Random, out of context moment:

Went to my locker to get out my lunch, there's a woman I don't know sitting nearby, talking on her mobile.
Suddenly I hear her say "Yeah, I don't...I don't know how to tell him what I want without sounding like a nymphomaniac."

Walking away, walking away...

Howdy everybody :)

Hope you're all well--the madness of a new(ish) job that doesn't constitute me sitting in front of a computer all day (thank god) has kept me from visiting the forums much. Will try to drop in more frequently, and it seems like there's more awesome brewing in Dev land soon!

I have a sandwich which contains 2 kinds of meat, 2 kinds of cheese, 3 kinds of condiment and a whole lotta love.

Going from driving absolutely everywhere I can't walk to, to relying on public transport for most of my daily travels.

It's taking some major adjustment.

Thankfully it's all tram and train based though. Buses are a particularly evil creation that I refuse to even consider.

Especially as buses are the worst offenders on screwing up ticketing charges. Still, for me, they are largely a necessity.

Gotta love this weather, though.

Sometimes people in this world just confuse the hell out of me.
Here I am, re-ripping my CDs into higher bitrate files. After extracting and editing SYL's "Aboot" with Audacity (for some reason, Swifturn DVD audio extractor can't rip each chapter into its own file, unless you rip each one manually), I thought I'd look around online before going through the chore of extracting and editing the two DVDs of Metallica's Live Shit box set. Well, found them and downloaded them in MP3 in the bitrate I wanted (Lars, don't sue me, I have the box set! ).

And you know what, whoever originally did the ripping apparently also took the liberty of making the music sound modern and up to date (i.e. LOUDER). Sounds just like the retail CD version of Death Magnetic. Seriously, who on earth thinks that sounds good? What's wrong with people?

Fine, I'll do it myself again.
