My mother had a tendency to shout from the other room if she wanted us. However, if she asked one us to go get the other sibling(s), we had to go fetch. So, one day (when I was really young, maybe 6 or 7) she told me to go get my sister, so I shouted her name.
Mom: I could have done that!
Me: So why didn't you?
A few seconds of her death stare was all the motivation I needed to leave the room.

The more I keep reading about places on the edge of the abyss, the more I want to see them. I can't decide if that's fucked in the head, or an exemplar of profound personal growth.

So what happened was I fucked up with my schedule. Couldn't do enough work on my own in the time I gave myself. But it doesn't matter. I just try harder now with everything else. It was just one course.
