Can't get enough. Being born in Louisiana it's so perfect!

Yeeeeeeeeees... so glad to see these guys getting some more recognition. I picked up the album a little over a month ago on a whim, and it's easily one of the best records I've heard this year. That string arrangement in Justice for Saint Mary is absolutely sublime.

And, this:

So the lyrics are, admittedly, pretty cheesy in spots, but the music's good enough that I'd give them a pass regardless. I wasn't able to find out much about these guys after first hearing of them this morning, other than that they're Greek and that the album the above song is from came out earlier this year. It's a really interesting blend of black metal and progressive tendencies; complete with 'vintage' sounding production, mellotrons, trippy keyboards, etc. Good enough that I decided to give the band a shot and picked up the album on Amazon just a few hours ago. For whatever reason, it didn't rub me wrong/leave me disinterested like Opeth's attempt at achieving a similar sound on Heritage did, so go figure.

Nile - At the Gate of Sethu.
Personally I think it's awesome. I will say TWTGD was more musically innovative, and the production here sounds better suited for black metal (IMO), but that's not really a bad thing.
The detractors just have their panties in a bunch. This album will be pleasuring my ears for awhile, I think.
