That's just the way it goes, sometimes. With CMDistro in the past I have received pre-orders several days before their release dates. However, I have also received some nearly two weeks after.

I've had the Decon and Ghost leaks since they dropped, and I downloaded the iTunes versions, so I'm not freaking out right now, but I know it must be frustrating for those who haven't heard the albums yet and are waiting for their pre-orders. Just be patient, because these albums are definitely worth it!

However, I do encourage those who can afford it to purchase copies if they come across them. When you finally get your pre-orders, find someone to give your extras to. It all supports the cause, man!

I'm a real stickler for having a copy of the real thing when I first listen to it - i.e. an actual cd in my hands. I've listened to leaks in the past, but I don't do it with Devin's stuff because they have such a high production value, I really want to make sure I'm hearing it as intended on the first listen. Plus, when it comes to Dev, I get way crazier about new stuff than I do about all the other bands I'm into. Hard to explain, but I guess I've invested so much trust/love in his music for so long now (since '97) that it's kind of a special event for me when a new Dev album comes out. Which is why this pre-order shit has been such a pain, and why I cracked and bought it off the shelf this afternoon. I wouldn't do that for any other band, I don't think. But the truth is, it's worth it with Dev's music. And, indeed, it supports the cause! ;)

Whats the best way to order it to ensure Dev gets the biggest cut? The official store has none in stock it seems, so wait and get it from there when it comes out or go through Amazon, play.com etc etc?

ugh, still nothing.

I'm tempted to just go to the local Hastings and pick them up there. Maybe forward my extras to a good friend of mine.

I should've expected CM to have these kinds of problems. Last time I ordered from them it took over a month for my order to even ship. Last time I order from them for sure. What's the point of even preordering if you're not going to get cds as soon as they come out?

Dev definitely gets the biggest cut from the hevydevy store, though there is no date set for when they will appear.

Just wanted to pop in and say that I got my Ultimate bundle from CM yesterday; thus, why I wasn't on here asking if anyone else got theirs yet. Dev mentioned on his Twitter that some of them have been delayed because of the shirts that come with them... they're ordering/waiting on more, apparently. I pre-ordered as soon as the bundle went up, practically (before there were even pictures) so maybe those of us who got our orders in early enough got the few bundles that were complete. Sorry to all those who haven't gotten theirs yet, though... I CAN say that the wait was totally worth it for me, though. Three listens in on each record and I'm, well, sort of at a loss for words. I had a feeling I would be, but... this isn't really the place to talk about that, haha.

I agree with this too; there's a certain 'ritual' I have to follow whenever a new release comes out by certain artists I love... otherwise the experience just doesn't feel right for me.

I got this about an hour ago and it made me smile :)

Hi Jake,

While we don’t have the exact numbers at this time, the new Devin Townsend releases are by far the best selling albums through our distro for the year :D

Thank you,
