So uber jel of you 'normal' people who aren't fussed about music 'rituals' and just... listen to stuff

Nah, not really. I love my strange ways.

Fight the pirates man! We need to stay strong!

Blackfield- Blackfield

Will do to satisfy my SW needs until the new Porcupine Tree album creeps out of the dark.

My head is exploding, after hearing this. Can't believe I just found this. :D

I'm not that taken by this to be honest. But,
Devin ft Joe, Fredrik in the new album
Joe ft Devin, Fredrik in the new album
Fredrik ft Devin, Joe in the new Meshuggah album???? :!:

Haha, nice observation there.

I'd give my testicles to hear Dev and Joe over the groovy heaviness of the 'Shug.

That whole ritual(if I remember it right) sounds like a huge hassle just to listen to new music... :?

Haha, nah it's not so much a 'ritual'. I just have a weird way of trying to ensure I enjoy something as much as I can. Rather than have the exciting stages of new music/albums bit by bit, I gather it'll be extra-exciting if I save them all for one moment. So - the exciting release day, listening to the new CD start to finish for the first time (in lossless quality), reading the lyrics for the first time, seeing the artwork/booklet etc. for the first time (except album covers - bit hard to avoid them :P) - I just prefer to savour it all for one 'supreme moment'.

I dunno. I make out like I'm in agony "not being able" to listen to stuff yet, but I'm choosing to do it this way cus that's how I'll enjoy it most, so I'm aiiite.

Haha I understand, I just can't exactly find the time or patience to do such a thing :P
