Yes, that looks great! I've translated my grid for the DTP logo, had to use my word processor but I think it came out okay. It doesn't "flow" as well as embroidery would, I think - but I don't think it can be knitted in any other way. I've tried making this larger but it didn't translate into knitting at all, I don't know why. I like the idea of putting it into a scarf, or a bag. Or even a sweater!

^Thanks for sharing! :D

I can't seem to figure out how to knit my scarf. :P If I want the logo to look good I have to knit it in a certain way, but if I do that the scarf will curl up. D: Argh...
I also want it to be a bit wider, so I'll probably have to start all over again.

Well, if you're gonna rib...why don't you widen the logo?

I don't knit as often as I used to, so I'm gonna try and have a go this weekend XP

Since I'm not very skilled in using English language knitting terms, I'll explain it with pictures. 8)

I was thinking of doing it like this:

But that would make the logo look beyond ugly.. so I need to do the logo like this:
Image
... but that would make the scarf curl up and look weird.
So I think I have to make the scarf like the former and the logo-area like the latter. o____O

Should I then make the "logo area" just a square or shaped like the logo? :|

What about ribbed? It looks similar to pearling (the prettier one) but doesn't curl :3 Say, if the first picture is called K and the second is called P in terms of stitch style; you wanna do K1, P1, K1, P1 etc. until the end of the row, then repeat when you turn it round. As the stitches kinda do a zigzag thing (means you can stretch it), you need to adjust the pattern by making the logo twice as wide.

If I got time I'll show you what I mean later :3

^You mean like this?:

I tried that once with "k2, p2, k2, p2 etc", and it turned out as a comfy scarf. But I'm not sure if it'll solve my logo problem. So many details : -| (and too little yarn : P )

Anyway, so far I've done this stupid thing, that made the proportions weird and all that:
Image
I'm gonna try the balls-way next. :P Maybe that'll fuck up the proportions as well... or maybe it'll turn out kinda cool. 8)

When I did that hat design, the block of 17x19 stitches (encompassing the intarsia logo with a row of ss surrounding) was in stockinette stitch, but the rest of the hat was in a knit3 purl 2 rib. I wasn't sure if it would work, but it did. In the end you really could not notice that the logo was in a different stitch pattern. Don't know if that would work for a scarf because it lies flat, hat goes around the head. But a "frame" idea should work, which is what your ivory scarf looks like? Knit border with ss in the middle? In any event, when I tried the logo in purl stitch it did not work at all. Now I feel like trying it again in a purse or bag, although I swore I wouldn' t make that logo again because it is such a pain! :D Keep trying, I like the scarf idea. :)

I know, right? I think I had to do it like, 12 times to get it right. Then I did it ONE MORE TIME and that was it!

Glad I'm not the only one. :P
Been working with the logo all weekend and I've done a bit more than half of the logo. The horizontal parts look really tight, and the wrong side is just a mess. :P

Dev, if you read this... next time you get a logo: make it a square or a rectangle or something. :P

That's beautiful! Did you use a template? Post it if you did!
