Talk about other artists here (even though they all rip off Meshuggah)

New Jesu track from the forthcoming album Ascension...

Slow to get into this one. Funnily enough, while Jesu was the band that got me into JKB, they're now probably my least favourite of his projects... Have to wait and see whether the rest of Ascension will change that!

Also Immortal's All Shall Fall album has brought a lot of joy to my days.
Aaand perhaps Dimmu's Abrahadabra isn't so bad after all :)

My new bestsoulmate has awakened my sleeping darker side!

I stumbled across this post while searching some Ihsahn related posts here.
Anyway, Ihsahn has amazing stuff going back to his Emperor days. Anthems to the welkin at dusk really showed that the level of his compositional skills were much higher than most of the black metal scene at the time (and now). Very classical structures, chords etc. in an extreme black metal form.

This one is also amazing from his latest album. Very heavy sound with saxophone, made me think of Dan Swanö's old Pan-Thy-Monium stuff : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQ0vYjrefO4

This is genius : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6GpfD7G310
Ihsahn - Elevator. Those winding melodies that intertwine really fit the title.

A Grave Inversed is easily one of the best things he's ever written, IMO. Some people seem to think the saxophone just clutters the track up, but I completely disagree - it's all over the place, at points, but... it just fits. And, speaking of Ihsahn, I'm listening to The Pain is Still Mine as I type this...

Yep, I'm bringing back the 60's.

I love the Beach Boys music for keeping me pedalling my indoor bike at a good exercise rate. :D (before my body's recent attempts to kill itself. :P )
