Unsure whether to buy tickets for Manchester or wait to see if any VIP thing comes along. Do the VIP passes usually come 'extra' to the tickets? :/

Just bought a ticket for the Manchester gig. And a flight(from Iceland), I found a moderately cheap one. This will be my first Dev experience. Wohoow!

Manchesterians(?), Feel free to recommend me something in the city( hostels, museums, shopping, noteworthy sights..).

Mancunians :D

I was down in Manchester a few weeks back for a few days. Stayed at this place. http://www.premierinn.com/en/hotel/MANPTI/manchester-city-centre-deansgate-locks. Only about 5/10 minutes from the city centre. In terms of shopping you have the Arndale Centre which is right in the centre of the town. It's much the same as any big shopping mall but has a decent selection of shops. In terms of museums the Museum Of Science & Industry is very good. It's free to get in and has loads of different sections. Took a good couple of hours wandering round it and the science part of it wasn't even open when I was there. It was closed for renovations it appeared. http://www.mosi.org.uk/

Thank you, very gentlewomanly of you. Some people worship Allah, I worship The Dev.
Well, given my geographic location and sparsely populated country + my eccentric musical taste; If the mountain won't come to Muhammad, Muhammad must go to the mountain.

I've been to London a few times and stopped once briefly in Bristol. I might stop in Liverpool during my trip, especially if I can get a ticket for the Liverpool FC - Man.utd match.

You are very welcome, I hope you enjoy your stay!
If at any point our paths cross at the Manchester gig, I'll buy you a pint for your immense effort.
