Talk about other artists here (even though they all rip off Meshuggah)

Funeral.

It's a perfect cap to a far too long day and evening (it's 5 am where I live as I'm typing this.)

Damn homework for final summer credits making me pretend I'm not really a degree recipient.

Also my way too complicated production that never got off the ground today. >< That was slightly humbling, but I shall bounce back resilient for the new day in... 4 hours :'(

[Aborted - Dead Wreckoning]

Awesome. Me and a friend often over-hyperly quote "LETS FUCKIN' GO!!" during various events that requite some self "amping up", in reference to nothing other than that song. :D

Right now, Devin Townseld - Tiny Tears, as my final song in this room before moving tomorrow. I get all "Oh crap, last time I'll ever ________ at this place, better make it a good one" etc. in these kind of moments. Only been here since September for gawd sakes, but I've really liked this room. It's been really good for those moments of "shutting out the rest of the world" and all that. Anyway, need to focus and enjoy this track more before it ends.

EDIT: Actually, one more. I didn't make the most of that moment. I guess I'll play Bastard.

Great choice.

Np: The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza - Danza III: The Series of Unfortunate Events

This is the soundtrack to the end of the world. Some of the coolest and most inventive use of 8 string guitars I've heard next to Animals as Leaders, Ihsahn, and Meshuggah for bringing them to the metal scene.

This band went from a completely schizo noise band to a groove oriented band with some ridiculous noise sections accented by the growling lows of an 8 string. On top of the actual melodic sections, crazy grooves and insane noise parts, I cant find a gripe with the album, personally. Definitely not for everyone, but if you like Dillinger Escape Plan's crazy noisy parts and Meshuggah's low grooves you can definitely do worse than this album.

Oh man, they played it at Damnation Festival 2007 (On my 21st birthday  ) and as soon as those words were screamed, the pit went absolutely fucking wild.

Turned out to be a bit of a mistake being at the front. I ended up nursing a severely aching neck/pain from an unintentional kick to the face on the train home. The bloke bought me a pint to apologise so I forgave him.

It was well worth it though! 8)

Now playing: Disillusion - "Gloria".

Duly noted, because I love both DEP and Meshuggah! Although, That band name is totally stupid.

I prefer to just call them "Danza" lol. You may or may not dig it, but I hope you do!

I love that name! It's the same level of randomness as "strapping young lad". Also saw some clips of their guitarist on youtube - big black dude in hoodie with huge FUCK written on it. They look like a fun bunch.

Mixed feeling about the music, though. Some tracks from myspace sound like a generic djenty shouty stuff, but I found one that has glorious bit of melody hidden in giant ball of noise. I'm talking about part starting 1:40 here:

I don't know why, but I find noise merged with pretty melodies the best kind of music (that almost nobody makes).

Oooh...I kinda dig that. Wish the guy wouldn't scream so much, though. It gets to becoming white noise, which isn't good for keeping me interested.
