I think Dev should get ahold of this audio and play it whenever he and his band take the stage. :D

^___^

Normally I'm not too keen on 8 bit versions, but this I love!

It reminds me of Castlevania. In fact, it makes me want to write a Castlevania clone just so I can use it for the soundtrack.

I can just hear Ziltoid's voice right now:

"What's is a third-dimensional man? A miserable pile of phooey!"

Capt. Spectacular: "Your guitar playing is as empty as your soul! Mankind ill-needs a fourth dimensional guitar hero such as you!"

I need a soft synth that does this and ONLY this

Mono audio with:
Two square waves
One triangle wave
One noise generator
One DPCM channel
One FM synthesizer (Famicom Disk system, Japan only)

ref: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of ... generation)

Ziltoid demands that his record is mixed to the utmost quality, or all mankind shall perish. Naturally, Dev is in charge and he sends back an 8-bit version.

"How dare they present this foul, pathetic, putrid, bi-tonal, primitive, non-eminent mix to me?! They hide their finest sonic capabilities. Prepare the attack!"

I think DPCM channel was just for sample playback, with 4 bit resolution or something. Dunno about FM synths, never used one, but kvraudio should have metric fuckton of them, Yamaha DX7 was crazy popular after all.

LOL, I agree!

I wonder how older Strapping would sound with this treatment?
