Other than the first couple they tend to shuffle around a bit. I can have what I consider a peak music listening experience with every album, they just come in different flavors. Right now I would rank them as follows.

1. ocean machine (because this was the first i´ve heard from devin. this record will always have a special place in my heart and it means so much to me.)

2. ziltoid (this is so fuckin awesome. story, concept, music, everything. this record is so outstanding, i can´t find words to describe it the right way. i listen to it at the moment on repeat 3-4 times a day. this MUST be a musical-movie some day. with puppets in henderson style. or like the "team america" movie. that would be awesome as hell). PLEASE DO IT!!!

3.accelerated evolution, addicted, infinity, ki, physicist, synchestra, terria (alphabetical order. can´t tell a favorite here. all of them are awesome and outstanding. depends on the day, which one i like more. today it´s terria, tomorrow it´s synchestra, etc.)

#2 Terria. GASP!!! WTF? So low??? No, actually no matter what #1 is, this is #2. So :p
#3 Infinity EP <- EP NOT REGULAR... Sit on a mountain!!! ^.^
#4 Infinity. After Bad Devil I lose intrest. Only recently I really could get into war and noisy pink bubbles as much as other songs.
#5 Psychist. I believe Devin himself said this was a disappointment. I agree. It feels like a DTB album, that tried to be SYL. Namaste is a prime example. I love the chorus, "REMEMBER NAMASTE!!!!!" You know, that part. But the rest of the song is just too muddy..... idk... what to think. This is one of my freinds fav. CDs so.. to each his own.

#2 The New Black. (so many don't like it that much.... why? It has Almost Again, You Suck, Polyphony/The New Black, I love it! LOL
#3 Heavy as a Really Heavy Thing. A real joy to listen to.
#4 SYL.... Not so much with this one unfortunately. Its better than most metal. But largely uninteresting by Hevy Devy standards.

My opinions.... :p

Alright I'm gonna try and do this.

1)Ocean Machine (My favorite record ever? Could be.)
2)Ziltoid (I can't tell you how many times I've fallen asleep to this record. Everything about this appeals to me, especially the goofy story which, IMO, has pretty serious and sad undertones if you really look into it)
3)Accelerated Evolution (Just a fucking well written record. Plus it holds a special place with me because this is the album I used to get all my high school buddies into Devin. I have good memories of listening to this and talking about it with them)
4)Addicted (Similar to AE in that it's just a well written record all the way through. A blast to listen too)
5)Physicist (just got into this record in the last few months after owning it for years...makes me feel like I'm on a spaceship. Second half is a little weaker than the first, but still a great and underrated record)
6)Infinity (Has some of Devin's best moments - notably "Truth and "Soul Driven" - but overall it's just a little too quirky for me to put on all the time)
7)Ki (HATED this record when I first heard it, but it has grown on me. Still home to my least favorite Devin songs, but has one of his best in "Terminal". Everything from "Lady Helen" on is really good too)
8 )Synchestra (Just not very interesting IMO. There's nothing I don't like on it, which I can't say about Ki, I just don't LOVE anything on it. It's a firmly middle of the road album)
9)Terria (Eh, this is a weird one. Thought it was one of the best records ever when I first heard it like 7 years ago. Then I just kind of forgot about it for a while in favor of Ocean and Accelerated. When I came back it sounded directionless and overly complex. You can switch this with Synchestra if you want, both are albums that I can listen to and enjoy, they just don't have anything that really grabs me)
