after purchasing most of their discography ive grown to dislike them. mostly because their songs all sound the same and have the same structure.

Ah, you play it down at the two? I found that harder.

I hate barring arpeggios. I'm used to sweeping arpeggios so that shape is pretty natural to me.

Ah, indeed. Nice rendition. Do you record your sound from a mic in the room or is your guitar plugged into your computer? Also, are you a little out of sync in the last verse / chorus?

That would probably give you much better control over your sound (and the balance between song - your playing), as well as a nicer guitar sound overall. Please don't take this as negative or anything, I'm just putting out some ideas how to make the end result sound better.
As for trying to show it to Dev, I think that's mostly up to you.. depends on what your goal is by showing it. If it's just for "hey look I'm having fun playing your stuff" then sure; if it's an open sollicitation for a guest appearance then you may want to consider doing a more perfect take and/or a different song (for example, 'Decimator' may have some more challenging riffage, thus look even more impressive).

I've thought about that. Or just playing along to the song in a DAW, taking a video and removing the sound then inputting the recorded sound with the original track on top, just lower. I might try that...but like I said the program I use to edit is so slow that it's incredibly hard to edit with it
I was thinking of doing Decimator as is has some really really fun parts in it. But I'm probably going to do Anti-Product and Gaia either today or tomorrow. Neither one has a video on youtube and I love playing both songs.
