Just off my new bike for the first time. I've missed driving so much! I've been off for about 9 months and getting back at it is the most awesome feeling in the world. Just hopped on at 9 o clock and drove, sans any plan or direction. Ended up several miles away. Had a break, rang Zyprexa to tell her I hadn't died and the thing was gorgeous to drive, turned around and booted it home. Calm and relaxed all the way, even when hoofing acceleration cos I'm a demon for giving it too much throttle... Just... :) is all I've been doing since I got on it. Man it's good to be back. No more buses for me! Woohoo!!

That is Mr Michael Patton. He is almost certainly not ugly. I know this because I do not have man parts.

Awesome is having a gym a minute's cycle away from me. And listening to this live stream, thanks for mentioning it, BlueRaja. And the hot chocolate and joint I am going to have before bed in an hour or so. And seeing Leechy tomorrow. And having a kitten trying to eat my toes. Life is rather wonderful.

This is also pretty awesome (for all PT fans, be ready DsD! haha):

Porcupine Tree are happy to announce the forthcoming release of their tenth studio album "The Incident". The record is set to be released via Roadrunner Records worldwide on 21st September, as a double CD.

The centre-piece is the title track, which takes up the whole of the first disc. The 55-minute work is described as “a slightly surreal song cycle about beginnings and endings and the sense that ‘after this, things will never be the same again’.”

The self-produced album is completed by four standalone compositions that developed out of band writing sessions last December - Flicker, Bonnie The Cat, Black Dahlia, and Remember Me Lover feature on a separate EP length disc to stress their independence from the song cycle.

Video footage of the band in the studio working on The Incident, as well as audio previews, will be available online soon. The band will tour extensively to promote the album from mid September onwards.

Fuck yes! :D :D :D

Although, if it had one extra song, it'd be very easily comparable to 2112. :P (Although, I suppose 2112's title track was around 20 minutes. Not pushing an hour. :P)

*salivate salivate* HELL. FUCKING. YEAH!!!!

Thanks for the good tidings Alucard - it's been a really rough night :| This buoys my spirits quite a bit :)
I wonder if it'll be available for pre-order for RoaBP or something like that? I'd assume so?!

WHAT? A 55 minute track? That sound amazing, but I bet that's going to be a BITCH to try and play, if it's even learn-able at all =O God only knows what they'll whip out this time!! The win is so thick in the air, I can taste it. Can you taste it? Can you taste it's win from here?

I'm happy to say I have tickets! Who else is going, in their respective countries? Perhaps some lucky people will get to see them twice withing a year's time - in the case of SF, they've had been playing about twice a year here before they ended their US touring for FoaBP :( (and it seemed like such a long time)

I would love a firm handshake from Colin Edwin. And a pick. And his Wal  I jest. And I would put up a picture of him, but I'll refrain, to avoid having him compared to a pedophile again. And Nathan, I'll try and get you a pick :)

Uhm, I have a feeling the 55 minute song is going to have a lot of soundscape parts, wont be all instrumentation, highly highly doubt it. But I could be wrong. And I know how you feel about the rough day thing...
