Going home from Kerry to Cork in about an hour. Weird though, I feel really reluctant to leave. I've become mighty possessive of this place!

I can't see Colin Edwin and not think of Cathal O'Searcaigh, paedophile poet extrordinaire!

Awesome is having 3 days off from work. Awesome is having the house to myself for half the day. I hope the neighbors are prepared for some really loud and terrible singing!

^ Haha, I've been singing today while playing with expensive microscopes. Hardcore science analysis thingies accompanied with a shared mailbox full of mp3's. :P

...good thing that microscope isn't on a big lab where everybody can hear me. Singing alone in a dark room. :D

yeah yeah, bring on the jokes...

My new system for my computer. Listening to Ki currently on it and it sounds outstanding (Ki is FLAC also dont forget)

The surround on this is amazing, you can hear everything. First song I listened to on it was Fear of a Blank Planet because of the awesome production on that album. Ki sounds phenomenal on it as well. Definitely worth the money.

ok quick edit: I'm hearing things on Ki that Devin probably didnt intend for us to hear...Like a crazy little string part in the background on Coast.

I always thought you were better off spending money on a decent stereo or 2.1 set than a cheap 5.1 set. I saw that the Logitec set you got was ~100 bucks, which is relatively cheap for 5 speakers. So I'm actually surprised that you're saying it's making such a huge difference. What are you comparing to, what was it you used to have?

A cheaper 5.1.

I had to go with this because of space issues. I didnt have room for most of the higher end subwoofers. I was really looking into a Logitech 2.1 and the Klipsch Promedia 2.1

Problem: The Logitech one had a sub that was far too massive. The Klipsch was no where to be found unless used. I did not want to buy a used speaker system.

Solution: Settle for another 5.1, just better.

No need to argue anything, I've been looking for months for a new speaker system and could not find a 2.1 I liked.

No. Assuming you're listening to stereo music, 2 speakers is optimal. And if those 2 speakers are good enough a subwoofer is not going to make it better.

He's American, he thinks more and bigger is better :P

I quite like the sub-woofer on my computer. It just makes the room rumble a bit. Not necesary at all, but I enjoy the sensation.
