Ah right so $320 first, then the rest later. Still cheap! Nice price for awesome quality.

Okay, yes, these are much better. xD I will have a looksies - ANd hope I don't find myself becoming swiftly bankrupt.

-sigh- It looks like getting a seven string may be postponed till christmas...

EDIT: 420 pound for the one I want. *clutches wallet feably* All my money...

Dammit, now I want one of them too. The only 7-string I ever see in shops here is the Ibanez RG thing and this one has all sorts of nice components for a comparable price (when bought new). Must... resist... urge... to empty bank account...

I love my ibanez RG1527 for everything except the pickups and the finish. The pickups are a little weak but are tolerable...the finish chips like a bitch...Other than that, I effing love the guitar and don't plan on getting another 7 string for a long long time. However if i were to do it over again, i'd get a carvin 7 string...not bad for the price and the finishes are amazing. I doubt you'll have any problem adapting to a 7 string guitar. I have tiny fat hands and the switch took a while, but you can really adapt to anything imo. I'm planning on getting an 8 string so if you can dish out the dough, go with the 8 string because I think you'll naturally want to go lower.

Abydost wrote:Right, I have decided to sell my Ibanez 7-string and save up for a http://www.rondomusic.com/interceptorpro27.html.

However, I have no fucking clue what this means; "Taking Deposits Only. Projected Shipping Date is August 1st. Total price is $649.99 plus shipping. Balance will be charged prior to shipping."

One of the Interceptors cost around $410 including shipping to Norway (excluding the case I'm going to have to buy for it). So what, is it actually 650 dollars + shipping AND case?

most excellent choice! I think the case costs extra, I would be surprised otherwise. Send them an email and ask

Yep, I suggest checking the website of your customs, they should have information about that.

In the Netherlands, anything that comes from outside the EU worth more than 23 euros (I think, could be a buck more or less) gets charged import taxes. Not sure how much it is exactly.

Same scale Meshuggah uses...it's technically the best scale so you dont have to use stupid thick strings. I want an 8 thats on a 28 inch scale. Not too short, not too long...would probably work great. Mine is only a 26.5, but with a .74 as the F# it works well.

The extended range guitarist on some of the online forums are picking up their 7 and 8 string guitars.

An example http://www.rondomusic.com/ghostpro7wh.html
EMG707s, FR equipped. Pretty good prices.

Here's a link to an agile being played http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6luoadT3e4

The man is preaching right here! I have played many agiles and they are better then most guitars i have played. I ordered the Intrepid pro 8 string :D cant wait for it to come

I'm going to tune my 8 string like that now, only the tuning will be FAGFACED. And then I will try it again with my 7 string to see how it sounds in a different octave. :P
