You ever meet him? His legs are like tree trunks...he has 2 feet, but he does the same technique George Kollias of Nile does where he kind of just shuffles on the pedals allowing him to hit extremely fast for a long period of time.

There's videos of George showing it on youtube.

Doesn't Gene talk about that technique in the Alien dvd? By the way, is Gene's dvd still coming?

I'm still psyched about my band's debut album that was released recently! And the greatest thing is that I can't really complain about anything in that.
You can listen the whole "Red Lines Entwined" album by Depth Beyond One's here: http://www.dboband.com/
Our vocalist's biggest influence is Devin and perhaps you can hear that somwhere but in the end he sounds himself.

If you really want your copy from the 250-piece edition, you can buy it through PayPal as soon as we get the CDs from the factory.

Wow thats kind of a hard choice, but I would probably go with the one that has Metallica and Mastodon...mainly for Metallica and fucking Mastodon!

No pushing or moshing at the concerts. And everyone is so friendly in Bergen, it's almost disturbing. Oh and Porcupine Tree's upcoming tour in September, and BLACK CLOUDS & SILVER LININGS. FUX YEAH. Since I can't be arsed to go find the un-awesome thread, I wish I would've filmed more of Opeth, the mic in my new phone is fantastic.

^ The last one is just the smoke trails.

The quality is kind of bad because I was using digital zoom for a lot of it to get closer pics.

Pretty cool little perk of living in Florida.

Another awesome thing that has happened to me recently: I've gotten comments on both my Blackwater Park shirt and my Meshuggah "I" shirt about how awesome those bands are. I truly did not believe many people around where I live even knew about these bands! I was both happy and quite surprised!

WHAAA? No pushing or moshing? I should move there. I have a problem with moshing - I'm not a big person, and having some 6' dude stepping on you is maddening enough to kill.

Wait, Porcupine Tree is going to be touring in September?!   YAY! Last time I saw them was in 02/2007. WAY too long ago.

Well, it was a good launch, clear skies and all. Night launches are the best though, they are in such stark contrast to the night sky. We had a night launch recently, but it wasnt that great because the clouds kind of obscured things =/
