No that's not cheating! You can't play if your fingers are bleeding and injured, right!? Go for it. Do you have a compressor by any chance? I ask because my brother gave me his old one when I first started playing, and it was a real help. Not necessary, but I was just curious. And before anyone says anything - yes, I know about the dangers of over compression. A little can go a long way.

Its a Marlin Sidewinder, or something like that. Apperently though there is two versions. One of from Canada and meant to be awesome, the other one was made of something a kin to MDF and made in Wales.
