Robocop II

Very chessy, but still a great movie to watch. I didn't really like the fact that Murphy was made abit more pussy like in this one, I really liked his raw edgyness in the first movie...and there never was enough blood in the second one...and don't even get me started on the third movie.

But still, the first was an absolute classic. The second one had it's moments...but the third movie was a bore, I would rather watch a donkey take a shit then be subjected to watching that piece of shit called a movie...im sorry, but it's true Robocop III is fucking bad. Just as bad as Turtles III I reckon...well up there with it. :P

Well, can say that I have have sort of gone a tad overboard with buying movies lately.....spent well over 1000 dollars on movies these last 3-4 months :?

I like any genre really.....As for periods of film-making; old film-noir classics, French new-wave and Italian neo-realism etc. there is just so much so I´m discovering things all the time. As for favourite movies.....there are so many. I really like the films of Ingmar Bergman, David Lynch, Lars Von Trier, Jean-Luc Godard, Robert Bresson, Werner Herzog, Michael Haneke, John Cassavetes, Jacques Tati, Alain Resnais, Billy Wilder, Seijun Suzuki, Jan Svankmajer, Orson Welles.....the list just goes on.

Ah, thanks for letting me know. Maybe I know half of the directors you mentioned, but that doesn't mean that I'm really familiar with their work...

Speaking of my countryman Werner Herzog, I'd like to watch
this film. Although I find it a bit funny that his character is named Dieter, Bale is one of my favourite actors (I hope that the stardom that his role as Batman brought doesn't prevent him from keeping on playing interesting roles in the future).

ok, now having watched the whole of imprint, it was a bit crap to be honest. nothing compared to Ichi the Killer, which ruled. it seems to be just endless blabber and flashbacks about violence and it's all waay to quiet. a poor attempt from miike at doing something mysterious in my opinion.

Absolutely. Several times.

It was on TV here a few weeks ago.
Some amazing stories behind that film. The weird thing is: the version shown here had obviously been recorded in English, then dubbed over in German with English subtitles :?

The Devil Wears Prada. Don't normally watch these type of movies but this was excellent, purely due to Meryl Streep's magnificent magnificence.

No. But it has Klaus Kinski in it, so I don't doubt the word insane!

I think the only Herzog-Kinski co-op that I've seen so far is their version of Nosferatu. Kinski's looks were quite memorable.

I saw the doco Herzog made about Kinski ("Me Best Friend" or something like that) and it seemed as though Kinsky was both brilliant and completely bonkers during their time making films together.

I just saw thumbsucker. It was a little pretentious, but still good. Keanu Reeves was a horrible actor though (but thats just the usual).

Quote from Werner Herzog: "You leave this jungle now and you'll find eight bullets in you and the ninth one will be for me." - to Klaus Kinski on the set of Fitzcarraldo :D
