jacksons are currently my favourite, though i do intend on getting an esp sometime soon.

my baby right now is a jackson dxmg which i recently got equiped with an emg 81/60 set. and wow, i've not once played a guitar that i liked better than my jackson.

I built my own guitar using Allparts. Feels really good and sounds amazing.

cool!
I played with the thought of making my own Explorer from custom parts one day. You got any pics of your selfmade axe?

Go to the album (at the top of the page) and check out the guitar shrine. My one is the blue Tele. There was a thread with more pictures a while ago, but its gone now :(

I bought a couple of books on guitar building (Melvyn Hiscock has a good one, and so does Dan Erlwaine), and found quite a lot of help online (http://www.reranch.com was really useful).

Its not that difficult to make something that plays well, and you don't really need that many specialist tools. The Tele is the second one, but certainly won't be the last.

There are plenty of inexpensive brands that can crank out some death riffs just fine. You don't need a 4 thousand dollar PRS to make good music.

i play an epiphone thunderbird so i voted gibson as thats what i aspire to... i really like it, it good for the really melodic intricate stuff and the streight out and out distorted riffage \m/

Right now, the guitar brand that actually impresses me most with what they produce (ie balace of price etc) is Schecter. The guitar I most want is a Blackmachine..thoguh that's never going to happen.

My main is still my trusty Ibanez RG7620 but I play Gibson too. I just wish I could afford a PRS.
