saw Flipper tonight. it was rather average. very loose unstructured punk. it didnt really stir up any emotions that made me freak out at their awesomeness. i was just kinda standing there. the highlight of the night was the last song where anyone in the audience could come up and sing it if they wanted to. besides that though it was rather average.

last gig i was at was Korpiklaani a few months ago in Kouvola. Second time seeing them and once again it was fantastic. Recently i have been reading about how their live preformance is quite terrible which i found rather surprising to read since i believe they put on a great show and live up to the atmosphere and fun of their studio albums.

Actually many bands during weekend, Sauna Open Air here in Tampere. 3 days heavy metal festival, it was 6th time for this so it's relatively new happening. But, last day was most anticipated as Kamelot was on stage and boy, they sure did deliver :amen:

Saw Isis with Pelican and Tombs on Sunday.

Awesome show. Isis' set was excellent, lots of stuff from Wavering Radiant but a couple of songs from every other album as well. Performance was ace. Pelican rocked hard as well, but I would've liked to have heard more stuff from their full-length albums rather than their EPs. I hadn't really heard a lot from Tombs, but they played excellently despite having the shitty opening band mix. The Isis shirt I wanted was sold out, so I ended up getting another Pelican shirt and the two CDs of theirs I couldn't find in stores.

Just got back from watching Steve Vai at the London international Music Show, was pretty good. My friend was playing so I didn't have to pay 8)

I remember one, and that was The Trooper  I don't think he played any of his own stuff, he was with a bunch of other session musicians.

He also swanned past me after his signing session (was an exhibition thing), I totally didn't know who it was until a parade of security followed him :P I'm crap recognising famous people, let alone people I've met before, when I was at the ESP display, the guitarist of Alestorm (hilarious priate metal band) ran upto me yelling "LETTUCE!" and I was like ".....whut. STRANGER. :| ".

Enslaved was jizzable. Even my best friend who is pretty much anti-metal loved them. There were 3 songs that were my favourite, Ground, The Watcher and another one which I thought sounded like "Pulse", but I can't find anything like that anywhere, help please. I also saw Slipknot a bit yesterday but I was really really drunk, got the three girls we were there with to headbang and moon everyone, fantastic. Duality was awesome though but I just don't understand Slipknot... Drummers flying up and down and spinning around

This is from when they were on the best radio show evar called Radioresepsjonen. An acoustic version of Ground, the sound setup was a bit poo but the song is so awesome.

Aww, the URL to that picture is http://images.encyclopediadramatica.com/images/1/15/NinFAT.jpg

Poor Trent - he'll always look good though. And his voice is sounding awesomer as he gets older; deeper and even raspier (I didn't know that was possible!)

And then there's this:

LOL no way! You're responsible for that monstrosity?

I don't know where I got it, I came across it in a folder on my desktop titled "NIN." God knows what else lurks in there  I must've stolen it from teh netz some time ago - makes me lol everytime.
I had wondered where that picture came from when I was uploading it - it's so wrong :D
