Talk about other artists here (even though they all rip off Meshuggah)

Set list was:
Heir Apparent
The Grand Conjuration
Serenity Painted Death
Hope Leaves
The Lotus Eater
Bleak
The Night and the Silent Water
Deliverance
Demon of the Fall
Encore: The Drapery Falls

I couldn't believe they played Serenity Painted Death and The Night and the Silent Water. I'd definitely change out The Grand Conjuration for Ghost of Perdition. And maybe The Drapery Falls for The Leper Affinity.

Overall it was amazing. Deliverance was intense as can be, and the ending of The Drapery Falls was awesome when the song broke into those last 2 heavy part before the recapitulation of the intro. The crowd just went nuts during those 2 parts but calmed down as soon as they went back to the clean parts.

I'd easily say it was the best show I've ever been to.

They played Deliverance? Holy shit. I'm really looking forward to the concerts now.

Yea. I was most surprised by Deliverance and Serenity Painted Death(I was ecstatic that they played this, probably my favorite song off of Still Life)

Mikael also messed with the crowd by starting to play Benighted in between 2 songs. That made me kind of mad, but also made me laugh in the end.

Misery Signals

Intense show. They were incredible live. Played a few songs off of Controller. The crowd (that wasnt there to see Bring me The Horizon) was very energetic during Misery Signals and it made for a great show. My only problem with it was that it was on a Tuesday and I HATE weekday shows :(

SATYRICON.

They exceeded my expectations and the sound was spot on, dare I say better than the sound Dream Theater had in Oslo a year back. The encore was especially insane, first K.I.N.G., then Fuel for Hatred (the entire venue was a huge moshpit during that song, few guys were lying on the floor after that), and of course Mother North. Definitely going to see these guys again if I get the chance.

Last band I saw live was Miyavi. He was bloody amazing. I'd recommend you guys check his work out, but unless you're very open minded and don't mind the fact it's in japanese, you guys prolly won't like it.

But he varies from rather heavy rock, to kinda strange rock hip hop, with some traditional japanese instuments involved...

All a very strange combo, but I like it! :D

EDIT: Oh and also a tap dancer. xD

Oh I forgot to mention, in the middle of a song (can't remember which one) the guitar tech guy hands Satyr (the vocalist) a guitar, he starts playing. Guess what guitar. ESP Stephen Carpenter 607. The bastard! It was like he was teasing me :(

I saw GWAR on Monday. Fantastic show. A little more focus on making the show have a theme and there were more, and more interesting characters for them to kill. Plus, it was hilarious to watch Hillary Clinton get her tits ripped off before she was torn in half.

Last show was Nile (+ Grave, Belphegor and Omnium Gatherum).

Grave and Belphegor were good.

Nile were awesome.

I'd love to see a tour of Gwar, with Zimmer's Hole supporting :D

Saw Master on tour with Estuary. Totally saw why the former was around since at least '94 without me ever remembering hearing them. Haha. Honestly the local support stole the show. I heard Sexcrement killed but I had no idea!

Damn, there's a band called Sexcrement? I was unawares of that.. hilarious band name though!

It looks like many of you saw Opeth as well. That was probably the last concert I saw - it was on Oct. 6th. Check out this Akerfeldt quote: (apologies if this quote has been posted before)

"We are heavy metal... but with some beautiful acoustic parts. Some people say that's pussy. Those are the people that get no pussy."

Here's a bomb picture I took, I have more but this one was my favorite. Mind the cell phone quality crapiness
