Talk about other artists here (even though they all rip off Meshuggah)

Hell yeah Dave. I've been getting back into The Black Crowes in the past couple of months. Especially this song, which gives me sudden (and temporary) urges to learn the piano just so I can play that beautiful outro:

As for Meshuggah, I like what I've heard of Koloss so far. They're a real mood band for me though so I'll have to wait until I'm in a real chew-em-up-spit-em-out metal mood to really listen to Koloss.

I have a feeling this might be my favorite track of Koloss.

interesting, that is my least favorite track of Koloss
but 'least favorite' still means that I very much enjoy it. And I'd say Koloss is my favorite Meshuggah Album since 'Nothing'. Like I said, everything after Nothing lacked atmosphere, great production and 'balls', tee hee. Although I did very much enjoy Catch 33, Obzen, etc. . But Koloss just has the right sound and vibe and groove that I kinda missed in their music for a while, and I do fully realize that is less complicated than previous Album. But let's face it, with all the recent djent hype they needed to do something that was a little different for them as a band again while still showing that their balls are gigantic.
The massive groove of the song 'Demiruge' alone can take down buildings.
