It's not surprising. Brendon Small's main influence for Dethklok seems to be melodeath in this vein. Still, this album's almost 6 years old and I have it dominate my playlist every now and then. I'm actually super disappointed that there are so few bands in this subgenre with predominately soaring metal vocals, unless it's like a Hammerfall-esque band.
