Talk about other artists here (even though they all rip off Meshuggah)

The new(ish) Red Hot Chili Peppers album. I'm so surprised I'm saying this... But it's actually quite good. I mean, generic as RHCP always are, but there's some new additions like female vocals that are quite nice. Liking it, more so then their albums.

Queen - Mother Love. The last thing Freddie ever sang, recorded in small bits and pieces over several months, when Freddie was basically dying as a result of AIDS. Brian had one more verse for him to sing but Freddie didn't make it, so Brian sang it after Freddie passed away. That Freddie managed to belt out 1:30 - 2:00 when he was so desperately ill is remarkable.

Watched a Queen doco last night and it reminded me of how haunting this song is for any Queen fan.

Ah, so you watched the doco as well. Good stuff. I don't think I'm the only one in saying this, but I loved how energetic Freddie was in their performances and how he managed to control the audience as one.

As for me, really digging this track at the moment :)

I've been meaning to check out OSI more. Only know Go and Free by them, but it's quite good.

call me a traitor, but i really hate SW singing for them. the subdued vocals are a big selling point for me because they create a really weird atmosphere. steven just CAN'T SING and it sort of kills it. he makes it work in his own projects, but i find him to be intrusive on guest vocals.

i've been busting nuts over these two tracks all night.

i found them during my search for more stuff like ocean machine and i'm pretty sure pandora played them based purely off 'voices in the fan'.
