Well, I suppose I can't disagree with your sentiment. I'm trying to remember anything truly stalwart besides those three myself...

Good albums from this year? Quite a lot, those three being the top though, I think. New Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, Russian Circles, A Storm of Light, Scale the Summit, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, Boris and to a lesser extent Amon Amarth and Arch Enemy as well. Also want to hear the new Black Tusk, hope that'll be good.
