Talk about other artists here (even though they all rip off Meshuggah)

Well, on the 4th or 5th spin of Heritage now and I gotta say loving it more and more each time. Loving the groove of it. Maybe I'm in the minority but I think the record is a huge success. It feels like a logical step for Opeth and true step where Mikael wanted to take the band. I'm sold.

I've loved it from first listen. I love the jazz elements to it, and I think that the meeting of the two styles works really well.

Rise Against- Endgame

I'm not usually a fan of their genre of music but I quite like Rise Against. I'm incredibly tired today and they're a good band to put on when I need to keep myself awake. Fast, sing along-able, loud, etc. Katy Perry does the same thing (yeah yeah yeah I know).

New Opeth - Heritage

I'm liking it. Still haven't heard all of it yet. It is a different change in style for the band, but its a change that I happen to dig.

Meanwhile, this has been stuck in my head lately. For good reasons too, of course :P

Textures - Dualism

I'm undecided so far. Less time-signature-y, more U2-y, occasionally djent-y. I'm only on the third song though. I already know that one from the uninspired video they released for it.

It seems I have taken a strong liking towards the track Burning the Midnight Oil. This album deserves a few more listens. Probably not something I will put on constant rotation, but enjoyable it is.
