yes, I like trivium, no I am not ashamed!

though this song is a tad bit whiney (my only dislike of trivium was the ascendancy vocals, too much whine and scream)

I actually really like everything about their new song. Good direction for them to go in. Like a cross between Ascendency and Shogun.

Yeah I listened to it a couple more times after I posted... definitely feeling a shogun kinda vibe, which is cool as the grandiose nature of the album was EXACTLY what the band needed to do. I just wish Matt explored the vocals he used on the crusade a bit more, I think there needs to be more of abalance between the screams (which definitely have their place) the thrashier kind of vocal (a more restrained anger) and the clean stuff... and I think he should try and keep his clean stuff at a bit of a lower note, like when he sings the melodic part of Replica (roadrunner united live dvd). Either way this makes me sound more critical than I feel! hehe. Its a cool track, can't wait for what I can only guess is going to be a concept album.
