Talk about other artists here (even though they all rip off Meshuggah)

Not sure I want to hear it at this point, since everyone seems to be losing control of their basic bodily functions.

I'm being my usual self and being very fussy about spoilers and waiting for the actual release so that I can sit there with the booklet and carry out my usual new-album rituals (which tend to be super-rituals for Dev stuff) :)

I'm sad like that...

I am NOT listening to Deconstruction right now, I'm saving next time till I get my monitors sometime this week.

On an unrelated note I want to thank Aden for linking so much awesome dubstep and DnB that I've been swallowed by whole this past week :D

The audio goodness I've indulging in lately has been.

Streetcleaner by Godflesh
Surtur Rising by Amon Amarth
A Pleasant Shade of Gray by Fates Warning
Danger (French house DJ)
2112 by Rush
A heavy dose of Devin's material
Gorillaz self-titled album

The song that got me into them.

I freaking love that band. I once did an essay in my school days where I had to write an article on any band/artist (Rolling Stone sort of thing I guess). I chose Gojira and "Global Warming". Pretty much explained how metal can explore topics such as climate change and our Earth in particular.

Anyway, yeah the album itself is a masterpiece. Not just for its unique song structures but its thoughtful and emotive lyrics as well.

Mr. Bungle - "Love Is A Fist"

Finally managed to shift aside Deconstruction in my playlist :) .

Not listened to Gojira in quite a while but Joe's little bit on Sumeria has gotten me right back into them again. From Mars to Sirius is still one of my favourite metal albums ever and arguably one of the best ever made... I shall go put it on this minute! :D
