Fields Of Rock 2 days ago:
I saw:
- Walls Of Jericho: Great vocalist, shitty band. I like metalcore, as long as there are interesting and tight riffs; well, they had neither. The positive thing is the vocalist, wow, she can get a whole crowd going just like that... Maybe that's because metalheads and women are a weird combination
-Devildriver: Liked them from the beginning. They're still amazing and holding the Guinness Book Record for biggest circle pit ever.
-Life Of Agony: What can I say? River Runs Red still is an amazing record. I didn't like them 2 years ago, but wow, they really improved their live show. It seems LOA is coming back.
-Suicidal Tendencies: AWESOME! They didn't play for quite some time, and they are back, better than ever. Getting metalheads to jump on a cross-over song is not easy. What an energy these guys have. Great stuff
-Motorhead: Well, after seeing them live about 6 times, it kinda gets boring, but still.. .Lemmy is God, and he will always be.
-Dream Theater: No bad words for them. Their show was amazing, the new songs sound great live. Super musicians, super sound, just perfect. They only played 'fast'/'heavy' songs, because of the nature of the festival, and I was blown away.
-Ozzy Osbourne: See Motorhead...

Genesis, last Sunday in the Amsterdam ArenA.
It was a little bit disappointing, to say the least. I love Genesis, especially the work with Peter Gabriel, but Land Of Confusion is one the best songs ever written.
But in the ArenA, they played really weak. Okay, they're old, and yes, Phil Collins still had some energy, but the rest of the band... dreadful, like watching a coverband in their third set on a wedding. No energy, no balls, just great songs

I've seen a bunch of local bands and my boyfriends band, but my last BIG show was Sounds of the Underground 2006....that was with Behemoth and Cannibal Corpse and Gwar and the rest of the bands really sucked ass_hole. I'll be seeing Amon Amarth (finally!!!!), Goatwhore and Suicidal Tendencies in August of this year...Sounds of the Underground again this year. Those are the only bands I want to see on that tour...the rest of the time will be spent in the AA meet & greet line and the beer tent.
Edit: I just tried to type ass_hole without the underscore and it got changed to nice guy.....here, I'll try again. Asshole. WTF???

Porcupine Tree were kind enough to visit Warsaw last friday. Steven Wilson isn't most entertaining stage personality ever (which was about same as on the DVD I own), same for his band, but they made it up with performance. Steve with mr. Wesley swapped singing duties, mr. Barbieri provided lotsa his voodoo and rhythm section almost ripped the roof of the place in certain moments, - I must say that Gavin Harrison is REALLY amazing drummer (good drum sound helped a lot), and music felt REALLY heavy in some places.
Setlist was cool, they played entire "Fear Of Blank Planet", including awesome "Anesthetize" and there were few other treats like "Gravity eyelids" and "Mother and Child Divided" (which albums is this? Can't find it in discography), where mr. Harrison ruled the most.
Have a photo of mr. Wilson
And few other shitty ones, if you can be bothered.
