The Ocean - Heliocentric

Their new singer is so good. Fits them much better than their previous one. Plus they seem a bit more dynamic even compared to Precambrian.

Periphery - Self titled

Thoroughly blown away. They didn't lose their edge of having a sense of humor, and their new singer is really fucking good. I'm glad I pre-ordered it, but glad I got a leak so I can hear it now!

Amongst many, many other things

Exogenesis Symphony - Parts 1-3 by Muse

The moment where the guitar kicks in in part 1 reminds me so much of the epic but painfully short musical flourish in "The Burbs" when Tom Hanks and Rick Ducommun first approach the Klopeks house to ring the doorbell.
Even at about age 8 that one piece fucking nailed me.

I had to wait nearly 20 years to get THAT exact vibe in a song and man was it worth the wait. And it came right after an epic Ziltoid-esque chord sweep!!!
The first time I listened to Exogenesis I was jumping around the place cheering. Completely alone in my flat of course.

The whole album is like a 4th Dimensional version of Queen just exploding in Pomp and Dramatic brilliance.
I live for moments like these. And this is 15 mins plus.

Now give me a full album please. Even if it's just an S+M style live show.
It's not like their entire catalogue doesn't lend itself to symphonic accompaniment, like a certain Canadian we all love.
I can just imagine the London Philharmonic and Muse live in Wembley Stadium closing out with Exogenesis.

With support from the DTP of course. The Philharmonic can pull double duty damn it! :D

Periphery- S/T

Yes. Blown away. I didn't know anything about these guys till I joined the forum. I see they have been working on most of those songs for awhile, which actually gives me a bit of relief for taking so long with my own stuff. :P

NP: Still Remains- Of Love and Lunacy and The Serpent

The Omega Experiment- Gift, Stimulus, Terminus
