Hello, just got my signed copy of Ki in the mail today. :guitar:

I notice it says that you can purchase the 3D glasses for the "3D Anaglyph Vision" in the jacket on Devy's website.

Either I can't see them on the site or they are not up yet. :?:

Yeah the artist included that on the layout, my mistake...I can't afford them right now. Many apologies.

Why buy when we can get them for free?

I googled 3d glasses to see what is out there and came across this: http://www.rainbowsymphony.com/freestuff.html It would appear that it is the anaglyph red/cyan ones that we need...someone correct me if I am wrong...

For the crafty among us, you can make them rather easily with some cheap supplies in about 5 minutes. Here is a video that shows how: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/807306/make_3d_picture_glasses_fast_and_easy/

If anyone is still interested in paying for them, you can buy them from the site giving them away or this site has them: http://www.the3dmarket.com/Paper/anaglyphic.asp but you have to buy 50+ at a time ($20...40 cents each) but can get them in the thousands (1000 is $250 or 25 cents a piece) if one so desires.

They're all over eBay.

A word of warning though: Leechmaster tried with a pair of red/blue glasses and said it didn't work for him, he said you'd need red/green.

I've ordered some red/blue ones, but haven't received them yet so I can't confirm or deny this claim.

I dunno if it was just the glasses though. Anaglyph imaging can work with either red/blue, red/green or red/cyan. The red/blue I used was from my little brother's copy of the Guinness Book of Records 09, and it worked with certain anaglyph images I looked up online, but I gave Ki to everyone in my family and nobody really reckoned they could see anything. If you look really closely at the lines on the booklet they do look more green than blue...

I'm just muddling matters now. Maybe everyone should wait till some clarification by someone that they have a set that definitely work, or until Biert gets his red/blue glasses and sees if they fail like mine...

Hoorah for confusion! :)

I'm keeping my eyes peeled for those kids magazines, Ben 10 and other crap like that cos they often come with 3D glasses. Oh I'm looking forward to the day when I have to buy that.

For anyone interested, a primer on anaglyphs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anaglyph_image

From a quick read through, it would appear one could use either the red/green or red/cyan to view the images on the CD.

Dev, you able to clarify this when you get a minute? Thx!!

My work invited some of their employees to a 3D screening of the movie UP. I totally swiped the glasses, LOL.

Dammit! I was hoping to do the same thing! I'm also kind of shocked the cinema wouldn't just give you the glasses...3d movies cost an arm and a leg and sharing glasses can transfer pinkeye, flu, colds, etc.

I stole some from the cinema a while back after seeing my bloody valentine 3D but they don't work on the Ki artwork :( I guess I need to get a pair of the old skool red and green ones.

Anyone know if they need to be blue or cyan?

I'd say go for Cyan. Anaglyph imagery is most commonly associated with red-cyan glasses... And past red-blue failures have been reported (by me!).
