I voted for "Coast" and "Demon League", however this requires explanation. Whenever I've heard a whole album where the track "bleed in" to eath other, I've often found myself considering some of the songs to be two movements in a whole piece. In "Ki", this has reached its climax unto this point. I consider "Heaven Send" through "Winter" to be a continuous piece, as well as "Lady Helen" and "Ki" in their own right. Due to my only having two options, I was unable to vote as I wouldst. I would proabably have picked said "movements" as my two favourites. Regardless, my decision therefore stands (oh, the pun...-Ed).

Despite this plasuible "tl;dr", the most important thing I have to say is that I have always listened to Devin's albums as complete movements in the first place, barring of course any compilation albums et cetera, and I feel this is the way he should be appreciated.

Argh... can.....not....choose....songs......are....too.....good.....

Ok, Ki and Trainfire. But to be honest I want Trainfire to share the the 2nd place with Coast. Or Lady Helen. Or...or...or... :zombie:

Ain't Never Gonna Win is amazing, it flows from Heaven Send so well. I can imagine it in a porn movie (no offense or anything).

I voted Coast and Heaven Send, but all of the songs are simply incredible.

I like Ain't Never Gonna Win a lot too - it's really groovy and it shows Devin's versatility. I'd like to see some more of his jazz nerd side in the future. Not only does it flow well from Heaven Send well, but it flows into Winter seamlessly. I don't think of it as filler, it's just a cool song.

It's too early for me to decide really. Some of the songs that do stick out in my mind are Coast, Disruptr, Gato, Heaven Send, Trainfire, and Ki. Really what caught me the most was how dynamic the record is. I love the way that you can literally feel the record build momentum up until the title track.

i went with "A Monday" and "Coast" because i feel that those 2 songs go great together, whenever i hear A Monday i just get so relaxed from Dev's calming clean guitar tones and i just love how it slowly inches it's way up into the groove of Coast, this is YET ANOTHER one of Dev's albums that i have a difficult time choosing a favorite and i can't just go pick a song and listen to it,i have to work my way up to it from the beginning because i don't like breaking the flow of Ki

I drive to work early in the morning at around 3:30am-4am so it's very dark outside, just the streetlights, very few traffic. I put on Ki and there's nothing like the feeling I get when Monday starts going into Coast and then to Gato (sorry to say but Disruptr doesn't fit the album for me). It's sheer bliss of nightly solitude until reality hits ie. I get to my workplace.

Coast and Trainfire. Coast is just so full of emotion and all that stuff. Trainfire got a bluesy felling and i love blues so of course im gonna like it.

Heaven Send and Ki

Heaven Send is just brilliant. Can't get it out of my head when I'm walking to uni in the mornings.

1 - Terminal is obviously the best. Great oldschool Dev right there, restrained and deeply emotional. Could easily fit in Terria or Ocean Machine.

2 - Quite Riot is the typical Dev closer (i regard Demon League as filler), upbeat and somewhat out of place, with great lyrics. Love it.

3 - Ki has an amazing first half, totally ruined by that last half power-metal-drumkit-from-hell-operatic-vocals "thing". Hate it.

I hope the 4th album will be completely clean and mellow, unlike Ki, which has excelent tracks, somewhat wasted by some harsh/heavy bits.
