This A.J character is the organiser of an event called Soundwave, which I happen to have a ticket for already.
Dev would be joining Messhugah and Faith no More... amongst some real shitty emo/screamo bands.

It would not only make my day if Dev were to play there, it would make every second between discovering that he will be there, until the actual show seem more purposeful.... make it happen.

Now all we need is Gojira on the lineup. Maybe Glassjaw.

Of all the Soundwaves, Melb is sold out! And I actively passed up a ticket already! I really don't want to have to deal with scalpers. Still, a sideshow would make my life complete. As a Tasmanian, I totally think Dev should come down - Infected Mushroom did it, and that shit went OFF. Though they said the only reason they came down was because they liked the fishing/natural side of things and small venues (<300 people for Infected Mushroom, I accidentally headbutted Duvdev like 3 times because I was front row and the stage was like 6" tall).

Though he did say MARCH, and Soundwave finishes on the 1st of March. So maybe a separate tour run by the same dude? Either way, if Devin is around, I'll see him.

Soundwave??? Oh F*CK! I hope not, I don't do Festivals very much, I MUCH prefer just going to see a band I love at a venue, or a 3 or 4 band lineup. Melbourne Soundwave is sold out. PLEASE do some side shows DEV!!!!!!!! Otherwise I'll have to go interstate to see him do a 45 minute set.

Just because it's A.J. bringing Townsend down, doesn't mean it's for Soundwave. He does organise tours outside of that festival, previously under the name KMW.

Plus, think about it. Why would A.J. bother adding another large, international band to the Soundwave lineup when the events are pretty much sold out already? Pointless.

Been (#!*anxiously*!#) waiting since 2003 to see Dev again, can't wait - Soundwave in early Feb, doubt DTP is going to be announced for that, organisers just released second round of lineup announcements with Anthrax & Placebo, don't know if there will be a third.

A question for the Aussies; Dev in Chaos Years Notes said Dev & SYL had been out to Oz 7 times.
I'm missing 2 dates and can't find what I missed. Did SYL/Dev tour Oz for either Alien or New Black?
Saw him in 97, 98, 99, 01 & 03 and almost obsessively want to know the others.
