The place to speak about Dev's current projects, and everything yet to come

A good friend of mine has asked me for some new music. I have tons of recommendations, but also want to include some of Devin's stuff because I think it'll go down well. So I'm going to make a mix-tape. For a girl. How vile and teenage of me. Don't worry. My intentions are pure.

She really, really loves "pop punk" (I think this means I, V, VI, IV chord progressions and upbeat happiness). I'm looking for some song suggestions. Here's my crack (hurrr) at it...

Storm
Traveller
Slow Me Down
Sunshine & Happiness (maybe?)
Bend It Like Bender!
Ih-Ah!

What am I missing? What songs do you think are runaway pop classics? The sort of songs you can imagine Tony Hamilton introducing in the 80s at the end of Top of the Pops...?

To take it further, how would you ease someone whose listening palette is reasonably "nice" into embracing five-foot wide cheeseburgers?

om nom.

Yeah, seriously. Just give her Epicloud (it's what I'm planning to do with the chick I'm going after).

And then when she realizes what great taste in music you have, she'll probably be interested in some epic, loud sex.

I should have mentioned I'm doing that too. Maybe a selection from Epicloud. Looking forward to hearing that in it's entirety. "Lucky Animals" had my 3-year old nephew dancing round the garden the other day. Win.

you know, I have absolutely no idea. I think I meant Tony Blackburn. I hadn't had my requisite amount of coffee by the time I posted that. zzzzzzzzzzzz[squared]

Thank you for the suggestion. I've only got that as the live encores on By A Thread - is it still in print?

I have no plans to make lamp shades out of anybody. At least not this year.

Having said that, I do need a pair of gardening gloves...

Life
Bad Devil
Irish Maiden
Canada
Traveller
Sunshine and Happiness
Hyperdrive (either Ziltoid or Addicted, both are good)
Trainfire (or Lady Helen)
Ih-Ah! (or Bend It Like Bender!)
Ghost
Blackberry
Juno

Oh, and uh, Satan's Ice Cream Truck.
