I recently finally received the "Unplugged" CD of Devin's, and at the end of each song, there is an additional 2-3 seconds of silence which shouldn't be there? (sourcing from such places as metal-archives)

Has it always been there? Or only on the re-prints. Kind of kills the "flow" between some songs when you're listening to them...

I have a downloaded copy and there's no gaps. Does whatever you're using to play/rip it support gapless playback?

Well, cd playback should be gapless, at least on "proper" stereos. And while playing mp3s isn't gapless, it's always (at least has been for me) more like a split second click rather than an actual gap. 2-3 seconds sounds quite a lot to me. Have you tried playing it on different devices to see if it behaves the same way?
I got a first pressing copy of the Unplugged album and it indeed flows smoothly from a song to another.

You could try ripping the cd into mp3 or some other digital format to see if the gaps persist. Audacity for example is good for checking out and editing audio files.

I had a somewhat similar case with my copy of Iced Earth's Dystopia. The last track before the limited edition bonus songs has a slight crack or pop when played on a stereo. When ripped into mp3s, however, there was tiny snippet of beginning of the next track, which I naturally edited out of the file, as it sounded really weird. Go figure. :?

Hm, it's just iTunes, the one I'm using. I think whoever re-burned those CDs of Unplugged ticked the option of having those additional gaps...? Which kind of sucks...

I have the downloaded version from a while ago, the length is obviously different... I guess all re-issues are like this :S Kind of want to avoid editing though...

My reprint of Unplugged came today and there's no gaps in it, so try a different program.
