Enough of this brown-nosing: Devy songs you always skip

As much as I love Devin's music, I don't love (or even like) everything he's done. Here, in no particular order, are some of the songs that I don't care for, don't get, or at least am tired of and usually hit "next" on:

- Olives
- Sister/3 A.M.
- Ants
- Traveller
- Vampolka (only sometimes)
- Bend It Like Bender (that's right, I said it  )
- Dark Matters
- Ziltoidia Attaxx!!!

There are others (a few on Physicist and a good chunk of Deconstruction), but those are the ones that spring immediately to mind. What are some of yours?

I love Ants, Dark Matters, Bender, Olives and ZIltoidia.

However I respect your opinion and all that. For me it's Sunday Afternoon.

(Everyone in this thread is likely gonna get mad as shit at some point. I'm glad to post in this thread before that happens :p)

- Slow Me Down
- Deconstruction
- Ghost, Kawaii (as far as i can tell from youtube i like the Union-Chapel-Version of Ghost much more than the album-version)
- Heaven Send
- Ki
- Numbered (not always)

Love Ants, Dark Matters, Olives, though.

Almost always start at Track 4 (Deep Peace, right?) on Terria... For me, that album has transformed in to a purely chill out album, aside from Fluke, which is pretty chill anyway...
Earth Day is a seperate listen, when I feel like it.
Other than that, it's pretty much just "Tall latte" I think.

not a single one....in fairness, I listen to whole albums no matter who it is, which is my mindset when listening so there's no skipping.

Hom... I think it depends on context for me. I'll skip most supah-quiet songs if I'm on the bus/tube/somewhere noisy... and I skip most heavy songs in the evenings. :P
Other than that I tend to skip pre-OM stuff. Most songs that I have had a skip-relationship with (;D;D;D) have unveeeeeieled themselves to me later on.

This, me too. :P

I usually skip live/demo stuff, I dunno, I tend not to enjoy listening to those as much unless I'm listening to the music while not doing anything else, I gotta be in the mood for it. With the exception of Kingdom from the free live EP, it's just too epic to skip, ever.

I also usually skip anything from Devlab or The Hummer, Tall Latte and really slow intros (You can tell I'm a patient person). :P

Sometimes I skip songs like Christeen and Disruptr but only because I've heard them 99999999 times and they're repetitive, so as soon as I hear the opening riff I'm like, I think I've listened to that enough this week.

If I make a mix CD, I just put on what I want. If I'm listening to an album in rotation, I skip nothing. Not brown nosing, just like to keep the record in context. I will admit that listening to Devlab The Hummer, Ghost, Ghost II or Ki happens a lot less than other albums, but that's only because I have to be in a specific mood to listen to those albums.

Used to skip Death of Music a bit. It's grown on me though.

The only thing I always skip (having editted it off the mp3) is the scream at the end of Things Beyond Things. Oh, and Info Dump. And sometimes Tall Latte, although that isn't really a song.

Off the top of my head, the only obvious one is actually a Strapping track and it's a cover: Room 429. Just never liked it. Dunno why. Others I might skip from time tIme but that's the only "no thank you" I always insist upon.

I tend to skip Numbered!, Heaven Send, the last bit of The Fluke, N9 and depending on my mood, chunks of Infinity and Physicist. It depends on my mood really. The only albums that I'll listen to everything on every single time is Ocean Machine and Ghost.

I second that.
I'm a ''whole-album'' kind of guy not a ''shuffle-songs-on-my-Ipod'' kind of guy therefore I don't want to break the flow of the record.
Especially Devy records. It's art you know. You gotta take it as it is. Not doing so would be like taking a famous painting cutting it in pieces and removing the parts you don't like.
I try to respect the way art is presented to me so yeah why don't I just shut myself up now ?

I have to say though that the ending of Synchestra is sort of a pain (until it reaches Notes from Africa) and the kinda happy/cheesy songs on Accelerated Evolution too.
