With Canada Post currently locked how will the strike affect delivery of the albums? Are they coming through Canada Post or through UPS etc?

Unless you're in Canada, or bought through HDR (who I don't think have started selling them yet...), you won't be affected. CM Distro are based in the US, and OMerch are based in the UK :)

That's what I thought.

No mail for the past week. So if the albums are shipped through the Canadian postal system I guess I'll be waiting...however the fuck long I'll be waiting. Well shit.

I'm also in Canada. Anytime I've ever ordered anything from CMDistro, it's always come through Canada Post. I've only ever ordered from InsideOut once, and I can't remember how it was delivered, but it was likely Canada Post. I'm thinkin' us Canadians are effed.

My e-mail response in regards to when I may receive my preorder:

Hello,
Thanks for contacting CM Distro. Unfortunately we are unable to ship pre-orders to arrive in international territories on street date. Your order shipped on 6/15/2011 via USPS First Class International and is currently in transit to you. At this time we are unable to estimate the delivery time due to the Canada Post strike, sorry.

Let us know if you have any other questions and we’ll be glad to help out.

Thank you,

I haven't ordered a single thing I really gave a shit about for almost a year now (just some small computer parts, etc), and I was so PISSED when I saw the canada post strike news. I was just like "*sigh* figures*"

I gave in and just downloaded the FLAC of the albums on street date, but I really can't wait till the actual CDs are in my hands!!

That's seems... pointless really... were they pissed that the people receiving the mail? Because aren't those the ones who suffered?

I have a feeling that was probably the actions of one or two asshole mail carriers who then lost their jobs.
