.. well I actually don't know how to say it but

THANK YOU for being who you are and blessing me with your music!!!

I'm currently awaiting my physical copies of the last 2 albums, but this morning I just had to give in to temptation and get the iTunes downloads.. and listening to Planet og the Apes, I'm covered in goosebumps.. in total awe.

Words can not describe how much your music inspires me. It's an overwhelming feeling.
Feels like my freaking b-day, christmas and new years eve all at once. You get the point.

On another note, I've seen that there's been a lot of negative talk on this forum. You've seen the posts and replied to them.
I'm actually quite embaressed by some of the stupid comments regarding Ghost 2 (which I'm very excited about), regarding the SYL/Decon debate, regarding money..

I want to share MY view of that latter issue:

1. Please don't Ever excuse yourself for "trying to sell stuff" and all that. I'm eager to buy! It's what you do.Your music is your bussiness.
I want to be one of your greatest customers!
Forum members complaining about the price tag on records just makes me even prouder to be buying multiple copies of the last 2 albums.. and also buying them as b-day gifts for my musical friens through 2011. Spreading the word.. new customers.
And the fact that I as a long time fan get to buy TWO records this year is just mindblowing!

YOUR MUSIC IS WORT INFINITELY MORE THAN ANY MONEY. Get it, forumers. It's very true. Think about it. :)

Ok.. now, I could be rambling for pages and pages about how much I dig yor stuff and especially the new albums, but I'm going to leave it at this:

Devin Townsend. As a fan, as a semi-professional musician, as a thinking and emotional human being; Thank you for Deconstruction and Ghost.
This music is making me a richer man in my life, and I can't wait to hear more!

PS. Can't wait to see you in London, November, with my gf. and 2 friends.. make that 6 when the Vip tickets be released.

Have a great summer! :)

Awwweh, posts like that make me smile :B

I might just put my 1.2 pence worth in (yeeeeah, exchange rate) while we're at it.

I was having a very long chat last night with a dear fellow boardie (guess who.), and we pretty much established that we've got the best friendship both of us could ever ask for, we both love each other to bits and got something we always wanted out of a friendship but never had. I mean, how many people do you meet for the first time who just run at you clutching a bag screaming "PRESENTS!!!!!!!!"

We met through Dev.

So music being awesome aside, myself and Amber just wanna say to Mr Townsend it's YOUR fault we're buddies for life, we'll never forget that and I hope you don't either.

Nice posts, so sweeeeet :)
It's weird how someone's music (and everything that comes with it) can change your life, right?
Even writing this sounds so "dramatic", but it is true.
Thanks Dev!

Just got some of Ghost 2 by e-mail (CM Distro package)

Feeling like a millionare! I'll actually have to wait a little while to listen to them.. too much great music to digest at a short time! Want to let it all kind of sink in.

Fans of DTP are increadibly lucky in 2011, to say the least! :)

Thanks guys, for real...

It's so weird to actually think other people actually listen to this stuff... Thanks for being a supreme vote of confidence to kind of 'stick to the guns' so to speak...

Thank you.

keep on keepin' on man. The tunes have been a consistent morsel of joy over the years, and these last 4 have not been anything different; and I truly believe you knocked it out of the park with these last two. I'm so looking forward to getting my prog nerd ass shoved around by the other bands' fans at the CoB show on Saturday... you bring your pastyness, the bearded one, the beav and RVP while I'll bring the elegant Jewish dance moves.

And most of all, you've prompted a very cool gathering in November of people I consider friends from all over the world. And while gathering in merry old England, we're going to chill and listen to music of someone whose work we really enjoy.

How 'effin cool is that?

Thank you Dev, we are so blessed with your music. For me personally, I can't begin to say how much your music has touched me and continues to touch me, from my girlfriend of 2 1/2 years and I planning on using Ih-ah as our entrance song for our wedding to now playing Ghost every night to rock me to sleep, haha. Your music really effects (affects?) people Dev, and I hope to keep supporting you and listening to whatever the hell you put out for years to come, it's always gold. So thanks again Dev for being an incredible musician and an incredible person, your interactions with fans and us boardies is beyond telling.

Well enough gushing, and can't wait to have physical copies of these two new bad boys in my hands (come the eff on CM Distro, I'm dyin here....)

It's truly impossible to put into words how grateful we fans are. I personally feel changed. From the first song i ever heard (Deadhead) to the most recent (Kawaii, im listening to it now :D) i will never be the same.
I stayed locked in my room one day and listented to Ki till my ears bled just so i could figure out the guitar parts.

As a musican, fan, friend, and loyal subject i thank you from the bottom of my soul.

Im looking foward to many (i mean alot!) more years of beautifuly insane music.
I'll see you July 13 at the NorVA!!!

Lots and lots of people sir, all kinds of strange beings have been moved by your music - surely the meer existence of this forum and the thriving conversation that goes on has to be a hint of that? Its the tip of the iceberg, I for one had been listening to your music for a few years before venturing on here and no doubt there are many many more who fit into that category.

Don't take on any criticism you ever get, you seem to moderate yourself just right... however it is you do it, I love your work and keep it up :)
