NEWS FLASH: from today onwards Devin will headline all the remaining Epic Kings & Idols tour dates with the exception of NYC where Katatonia will still close.

Man, craziness with who's headlining. Wonder why it's switched so many times....

Yeah, it seems a bit odd. I would have said it was something to do with the popularity of the bands in each town they go to. I can't imagine they have a solid way to quantify the popularity like this though. Perhaps they are using the amount of VIP packages purchased for each band as an indicator for popularity. i.e. If 40 people pick up Devin VIP packs in one city, and only 10 buy Katatonia packs, then Dev headlines. Maybe...

I'm a huge fan of both bands, but I think Devin works better as the headliner. When I saw them in Seattle, Devin's set was highly energetic and invigorating, then Katatonia's was very subdued and mellow. It felt like a bit of a comedown, to be honest. I think their set would fit much better after Paradise Lost's similarly subdued set. Basically, Devin's stage presence just blows everything else out of the water!

Switched so many times? It's always been the same until today. I don't know where some people at the beginning of this thread got there info from but all that was wrong from the start. We actually changed this today as requested by Katatonia who felt that on this tour's line up Devin would do better closing the gigs. They still both have equal set lenths.

Good to know. I think the confusion stemmed from the original info being wrong, and then random people weighing in with their opinions. Also, Ryan said on his FB fan page that the bands wouldn't know who was headlining each date until the morning of each gig.

I think Dev being last is now permanent for the remainder of the tour.
