Although Terria, Infinity and A/E are all pretty much level for me.

Very tough list to decide on but...

1. Terria.
2. Infinity
3. Physicist
4. Synchestra
5. Accelerated Evolution
6. Ziltoid the Omniscient
7. Ocean Machine.

Numbers 2-5 switch around occasionally. Terria is definitely the clear winner though

Yeah i've noticed it's a tad different than what everybody else posted haha. It's not a bad album (Townsend hasn't made a bad album), I just don't find it as interesting as most of his other work. It's definately better than any SYL.

1 and 2: Ocean Machine / Infinity - Good for completely different reasons, each totally flawless. I could never decide one over the other. Ocean Machine is flowing and epic and beautiful, Infinity explores every side of mania.

3. Synchestra - A near-perfect, blissful sunshine record.

4. Terria - I love the first half of this album as much as every one else here seems to, but the later tracks are hardly as memorable for me. Still, the album has an amazing mood, and some of his best songs ever.

5. Accelerated Evolution - This record contains some of his best guitar and vocal work. Rocks really hard and shimmers in this beautiful white way. I don't like every track, though.

6. Ziltoid - The concept gives this album a focus that some of his albums lack. The sci-fi theme is pulled off marvelously.

7. Physicist - This album is very repetitive but is great simply due to it containing "Planet Rain" and "Kingdom".

Oh man, this is hard...

2. All his other stuff

I can't really decide, they're all a different concept. All the albums sound differently, so I love them all in their own way. It would be impossible for me to decide on this.

My rating has completely changes. There's something about Ziltoid that hits me hard. I always listen to it in bed whilst drifting in and out of sleep. It feels like an awesome recurring dream!

But really everything 2 - 9 is subject to change. OM is eternally numero uno, though. Greatest sounds to ever pass through my ears.

I didn't throw Cooked On Phonics in there cos I see Punky as another separate entity, akin to SYL.. So that album ain't for this list..

but again all subject to change dependant on my mood. I listened to Pysicist for the 1st time in ages and I think it might climb up the list for a while soon. Same with TNB, a few months ago it would have been 5 for SYL, but i'm really digging it right this moment.
