Just got this update from Peavey:

expecting delivery of the first ones within a week

Can anyone share the rep they have worked with at Sweetwater? So far I haven't seen any indication that anyone else is going to be selling this thing, so I'd like to start a dialog with Sweetwater.

I have a feeling that it is going to be a very limited run. The lack of hype from Peavey is very telling.

yeah i think you're right. i'm really trying not to speculate too much because when i do, it really bums me out. i just liked the idea of this so much from the very first announcement, but i've definitely re-calibrated my inner hype at this point. i can't even estimate how many times i watched this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULhz423h_nI

I guess this could be considered as good news. I think weeks will be months more than likely though, just my guess.

Yeah, I finally wrote to Sweetwater and was told they will ship in 45 days. Now I'm tempted to preorder, depending on their return policy.

I was told if you pre-order and want to return something there would be a restocking fee but as when I pre-order Dev's sig guitar it was also considered a special order and there are no returns on special orders. I don't know if any of this has changed in the time that has past though.

I contacted the product manager at Peavey yesterday...they just got the first production model of Devin's sig in from overseas and are expecting more to trickle in over the next couple of weeks. The first few will be for magazine reviews and contest giveaways. The rest are expected to be in dealer's hands to ship out in September.
