I remember reading a comic 4 parter by Dark Horse (Who, in my personal opinion are very open minded about comics, would be worth considering for publishing), called Aliens: Havoc. There was something insane like 20 pencillers all contributing. They were given a standard to work by, suit designs, character features and the like, and each then did a 2 page spread. You had everything from a Frank Miller style to Kawaii-style characters, some of which were hilarious.

The awesome part was how the story flowed, and the appropriate artists came in at appropriate times. It was hilarious to go from a dark-lined epic shot of a guy firing a pulse rifle, to a cutesy spread of an alien exploding in acid. Perhaps this idea of subjective response and deconstruction would flow and tie in, in a cross-media format.

Also, how about a cd audio tape that accompanies it, with bonus features, making of, online links, production pictures, etc? Perhaps a hail from Ziltoid now that he has passed beyond the limits of differentiation?

"Pah! I indeed hold so much power that dy/dx means nothing more to me than the unnamed ensign on one of your 'Star Trek's'."

Reminds me of a thing used to do with stoned friends, draw a panel/frame and pass it on, fuck they were funny.
Dark Horse did some weird movies too didn't they?

I'd love to see some Ziltoid Comics written by Grant Morrison and penciled by Skottie Young. since Morrison is always playing with 4th dimensional stuff/metaphors etc. I guess it would fit as a glove. A Nintendo Power Glove, indeed.

But it would be AWESOME to read fan contributions, there's a lot of talented folks on the forum :D

Maybe a fan contest? Submitted works would be published on-line and the best ones as a bonus comic in the graphic novel.

Am I dreaming too much?

Perhaps the idea that music is now such a democratic process, that even listening now comes down to subjective matter and not that of what the artist always originally intends is what's key, especially boiling down this format of "Deconstruction".

I'd love to see some kind of contest, if even for the cover.

A few artists come to mind who I feel would be ideal. Alex Ross is phenomenal and so is Chris Warner. Both very different styles. In fact I think Chris Warner is a chief editor at Dark Horse - he may be the person to contact.

I'm pretty sure that's not how math works. Of course numbers just frighten and confuse me once I've run outta fingers and toes.

It is how math works. I'll show you:

(Z^4)^2 means Z^4 * Z^4.
Z^4 means Z*Z*Z*Z
Hence, (Z^4)^2 means Z*Z*Z*Z * Z*Z*Z*Z, or Z^8.

Maths is easy.
