Pretty much, yeah. Now I'm just wondering whether the Ghost EP will be released simultaneously with the album + whatever Deconstruction turns into, or if the EP will be part of the DTP boxset.

Ghost IS a 2 disc album, just like he said it was going to be. The fist disc, containing the album itself, plus the second disc which is the EP. I see what you mean though, you expected a continuation of the same album instead of "the other side of Ghost". The EP isn't a full length album, but it has enough tracks to constitute using that extra disc to give us more than an hours worth of glorious devy! Double disc-albums usually don't contain equal amounts of content, usually the second disc has remixes, live,tracks and the like. I'd have to say that even if the second disc was just a couple of remixed tracks, I'd be very satisfied, but the fact the it contains all unique songs...!!! Well that, my friends, is a nut buster! Bring on GHOST

I think youre confusing a 2-disc album (like, say smashing pumpkins mellon collie) and a "bonus" disc like what came with ziltoid. when devin said ghost (and then possibly decon) was going to be a double album, we all took is as such. now that he says it's 1 album w/ an EP, i'm pretty sure the EP will be a separate release probably 30 mins or less. it wouldn't make any sense to call it an album & an EP if they were sandwitched into a double "album." now they could still both be released on the same day, but 2 separate releases DOES NOT mean "2 disc album." that would be like calling the wildhearts' chutzpah! and chutzpah! jr. a 2 disc album

I've been thinking of making a Ziltoid action figure and selling it for ££££££££. I have no idea how it would work as Ziltoid doesn't really move much....maybe a Ziltoid styling head? Real life Ziltoid bust for budding hair stylists to practice the height of Ziltoidia 9 follical fashion on...

Hey there ladies and gents. Devin Townsend here. Our North American tour starts today, I'm very excited to play on stage again! It's a short tour, but I believe that nowadays records are almost an advertisement for your live performance, so we hope anyone who has been interested would consider coming out. We have been working on some new songs and making sure our sound is in great shape for our full, headlining set.

This is our second run in North America this year, the first was with BTBAM and CYNIC, and we would also love to see some faces from those shows as well!

Before every show I am doing 'VIP' talks with acoustic stuff, if you got tickets for that it should be interesting... and of course, I'll sign whatever you want after the actual shows as well. The show is about an hour and a half worth of stuff, and we've tried to give a good cross section of the material. The hope for the future is to tour a lot, and building an audience is pretty much one at a time for any band, so please check out the music on youtube or however you do if you're not familiar with it, and then maybe bring the whole family

There are currently talks about bringing the band to many places next year, so if we haven't had a chance to rock together, hopefully we will soon.

Well actually, Inside Out and CM license from me, and they're both great.

The thing is, I'm small potatoes in the scheme of things, but Thomas at IO, and some folks at CM are really really supportive, and they don't want to blow their wad on 15 projects when they have the budget for one.

Doing the dtp 4 record thing is a bitch for them in the first place, consider this:

So the fact that it did well enough to warrant me touring and being my douch-ey self was because of the 'signed covers' etc and you guys...

So when I say to them... 'by the way, I've got 6 more things on my harddrive, ready to go'... they're saying 'we don't have a budget to produce and promote it bro, sorry. Lets stick with the 4 albums, and do a smokin' box set'

I asked if I could put them out myself, all 'renegade-like' ... and they politely asked me not to. They think the public perception for many years has been confused by my lack of one style, and a bunch of d.i.y project offshoots does nothing to strengthen the 'brand' ... and actually I see their point.

Anyways, I have it done (for the most part), and I just keep amassing stuff.

With not having so much time on here these days I'm somewhat losing track of things - each time I pop back to catch up it seems to be a new plan for the releases for the new stuff? Also, comments about the albums are split around between a number of threads so it's hard to get my chrono on. It's a shame there's not a sub-forum for the Ghost/Deconstrcution thang to keep it free of the tour posts.

Sooooo, is it only a box set now or with the individual discs come out with releases of their own and, if so, will the box set versions be different from the separate versions? Does anybody (including The Dev) actually know yet or is this all supposition? Have I used up my quota of '?' yet?

Sorry for the 'round up' question but it's pretty tough to keep track of things at the moment, you know?

from what i understand, deconstruction & ghost will be the 3rd & 4th album as planned and should come out on or about the same day. then there will be the ghost EP released shortly after. some time after that the 8 disc box set will be released w/ all the 4 albums + 4 extra discs of bonus tracks, live tracks and shit. unless things change again, i'm pretty sure that's fairly accurate.

I'm 100% positive that I will buy the box set.
