Thats great to hear. I don't mind, everyone's gotta work sometime so theres always busy schedules and what not. I myself haven't really noticed much of the abscence. I guess I've been slacking off too much in the general discussion threads :) .

 I couldn't help but notice this. Sounded so Monty Python.

Steak takes too long to prepare and cook well. :)

Dev feels...feels like he's never here!
Feels like there's no more fear!
He wants to feel like this for a year (or perhaps until he gets closer to finishing this run of touring and recording)!
Feels like posting on Twittear!

I couldn't resist the ridiculous nerdiness...I apologize. Well wishes to you, Dev, and the time-management of your projects! Can't wait to see all this hard work come to fruition.

I hear you man. Twitter is great, for the reasons you cited. Just fucking blast it out to everyone, whatever the hell you're thinking. It's all "in the heat of the moment." That sums up twitter for the Dev. I just did two hits of "the beerstick", a giant syringe of beer. And I'm listening to Deadhead, drunk. That's a twit-worthy post.

Yeah, Twitter is definitely like fast food... the thing is, the workload right now is preposterous, for real... the Ziltoid show (as dubious as my *ahem* 'movie making' is) has taken ass loads of time just to learn the new programs... the greenscreen process alone starting from zero took a week and a half to understand. Where do you get the material? how do you light it? what program do you use? what the hell is chromakey? blue or green? how do I hide my arm, how do I make the outfit... with a budget of 70$ for his outfit, how do I make it look decent? In-Ear monitors, getting all the gear in racks, making 6 15 xlr deep snakes, color coded for each instrument, getting stencils made then painting them on the racks, and truly... the other guys work day jobs, so I'm running from 7am to midnight usually. Rendering the video stuff takes days as well... IT WILL BE WORTH IT FOLKS!

Plus, I'm writing my freaking sack off... not on purpose either, it's more like in between figuring out technical stuff, mowing the lawn, dealing with family stuff (r.i.p Nan...) travelling to rehearsal 4 x a week (4 hour rehearsals) more samples for new songs, being a dad, interviews, business issues, damn guys... holy crap... BUT in between all that, tons of music seems to be coming out... the other morning I had an argument with a business associate, and I picked up the guitar and wrote something great that I couldn't get out of my head till I completed it... great stuff, but at this point, it took a day out of my allotted time...

I mean it when I say I'll be back here, it's just now some little videos and the fast food updates are the only things I really have time for..

hang tight!

I'm so sorry to hear that. :(

Dev, seriously, work and family come first--OBVIOUSLY. I only have a twitter account to really follow you and a couple other people, but hey, after a half dozen tweets you get kind of the same dealio as a post on your forums. Oh... and hey, who the hell else keeps this in touch with their fans with this kind of genuine kindness?

Do what comes naturally and hey, we'll be here talking about stupid shit in general discussion til you come back :P.

Besides, the Ziltoid gig is going to be totally worth it.

So damn jealous!

This will definitely be worth waiting for. The work ethic you have is unbelievable Devin!! Can't wait to see how the Ziltoid stuff turns out! What program do you use for that green screen stuff? Would be cool to use that for a music video or something for my band. And why do some use green screen and some blue screen??

Can't wait to hear that new song!

Don't get me wrong, not complaining at all... maybe I'm good with time management, or I just really like to punish myself or something, but either way, it's compelling and it's happening, so onward!

thanks guys

I'm going to Finland by boat with a bunch of friends and as soon as get there i'll run fast as shit to the main stage to get a good view from the front. I'll buy you a swedish hat with colorful elks on it. I'll trow it on the stage for ya, i have on myself. It's a serious piece of equipment that scares the shit out of all the ..exclusive.. people out there.
take care. :)

Very sorry to hear about your loss, Dev :(

And it's amazing you've been able to post so much considering how the pressure you must be under right now with everything. Looking forward to whatever musical is coming next, and of course for the European tour :D I'll be there at Bloodstock!
