Hey there, hunny bunny. Wanna come over to America and see some Devin Townsend? I've got plenty of extra room in my bed. ;)

I like Cynic and Scale the Summit... But... BTBAM... Just can't get into it.
Maybe when I see them live my opinion will change.

I second that about BTBAM. I guess I just don't get them. Everyone says their incredible, but I just can't see it. Try to listen to them a bit before the tour, but odds are I'll just leave early so I can chill with Dev :P

And no New Mexico date!! God the world HATES us! Well I'll be on Christmas Break from college during that time, I guess I could try to roadie it to Tempe or Denver? I really would rather not, but it's Dev.... really really wish he was headlining. I'll find some way to see him.

On another note... Bend it like Bender sounds awesome!

@the dude looking at a six hour drive: Look at the bright side... you've got time to dig up some potential carpool mates and acquire a cooler. You'd be surprised how much more manageable gas, food, and tolls get if you split shit even two ways.
Just remember to be selective. Kid I hung out with sometimes seemed perfectly cool so we agreed to do the South-eastern Massachusetts to Poughkeepsie, NY run. About two states into the drive, he cheerily says "I'M ON PROBATION!" Then when we're in the 0 rest stops until Rhode Island stretch, he informs me that his half the lodging costs consists of the $15.00 he didn't spend on beer so he'll handle the driving as I just took some painkillers and shouldn't be behind the whee...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

I'm going to Boston and Clifton Park for sure. Then after that, I'm thinking it's time to reunite with an old SYL/DTB show buddy to hit NYC and *maybe* Philly.

I remember going to a show to see Over My Dead Body and Death By Stereo and due to some mix up in Philly, they had to play at some other small venue and BTBAM were headlining that show. I could not get into them at all... Reminded me so much of Dillinger Escape Plan, never got into that style. Great musicians, just not a fan of them.

I want to do the Boston/NYC/Philly shows, that be sweet, but are we gonna get a DTP Headlining Tour?

Touch base with me before you hit Boston. I live about 30 minutes away. Plan is to organize some sort of pre-show shenanigans. Maybe hit a couple museums then a brew pub. Plus Beantown has reduced many a driver to tears between its insane parking rates and illogical layout. So when I've got some bloody clue who in the hell is going... I'm thinking pack my driveway then 'pool it on in.

Perhaps in time. Everybody has to start somewhere. While Devin Townsend is indeed a name brand of sorts, he's probably not enough of one at this exact second to get the kind of backing he'd need to make such a venture sane.
