got to soulfood at about 1.30pm. Glad I did because the place got packed soon after. they were not letting people in after 5. Very moving show. Very intimate, and touching (if you can understand my meaning). I have been listening to his music for well over a decade and to be part of such an event with my favorite performer just feet away, was truly amazing. Something I will never forget. Thank you Mr. Townsend for giving the Seattle area such a treat. I just want to say, FUCKING RAD SHOW MAN! IT MUST GO ON........................................................................... and thank you again, sir. A truly great memory was created tonight.

Just got home, had an adventure tonight.left late, got there at like 530, went over to soul food, saw the place was packed, people werent allowed in, no devin yet. My friend and I both had to go to the bathroom, so we checked staples to see if they had a bathroom, right after we walked in my friend couldnt find his phone, so I threw him the car keys and my and told him to check the car, found out staples had no restroom and ran over to QFC. Came out and went back over to soulfood, friend still hadnt found phone and believed someone inside had it, later found it in back pocket. Returned to soul food. Waited for Devin to come on. The speakers on the right side of the building were blown out or something cause they were hissing like crazyyy. About 10 minutes go by, still no Devin, then realize i dont have car keys, friend says he gave em back to me, then says he might've left em on the seat, have to run back over to staples and sure enough, keys are on drivers Seat with the door unlocked. Return to soulfood with some ham sammiches, a few minutes later dev starts. Played Coast, Terminal, Lady helen, Ki, Solar Winds, Sister, Ih-Ah also played two new songs, One was tentatively titled Radial Highway, then Devin re-tuned and played Quiet Riot and then it was done. We were stuck outside until the last song, it was lame, they were doing a 1 person leaves 1 person can enter policy right until we got up to the door, then the lady said to wait because people were sneaking in the back, Finally she let us in, Got a (probably) poor quality video of Quiet Riot, then waited in line to meet dev, had a short conversation, got a signed flyer, and got a picture with him that was a little different than most others. Also they were handing out signed inTune Picks, so that was pretty dang cool. So yeah.

Edit: OH yeah what happened with the Merch? I thought that Devin said he was going to have some home made Box sets up for sale and what not...

I was following via stream and it cut out for me as well :?

But the release (if Dev still intends to sell it) will definitely be a nice consolation prize.

Very very very very awesome show. Dev was great. When asked about Punky Bruster, he jokingly said they'd be coming back with Funky Bruster.

Great set and Ki was absolutely unbelievable. Dev set up with almost two other guys and talked to us while he was doing it and joking for about an hour.

Signings were cool and it was great to meet him again since Ozzfest. Thank you Devin, for putting on a tremendous performance and coming out to see your fans. There was absolutely no reason for you to do something like this and you did anyways, and I want to say thank you. Look forward to seeing you in October!

As for the new songs he played, the one that stands out was RADIAL HIGHWAY (tentative title). AS Devin mentioned as he started to play it, it sounds somewhat like TRAINFIRE. Which is not a bad thing what so ever. very fun song, made me want to hope in my car and just start driving to nowhere in particular. He mentioned That he had just finished the bulk of it the night before, so I would think it will sound a bit different from what the show when it lands on which ever disk he decides to put it on. As for the rest of the new material it was rad to hear him try out new stuff on us, I believe you can hear the other songs on the stream if it is still up ( I believe the stream went down for RADIAL HWY).

Thanks again for playing in our quiet corner of the world. :zzzz:
