City and OM were far and away the two best things that ever happened in 1997. Decon and Ghost are good, but it's not even a fair contest in my eyes.

City & OM were really new to my ears at that time .. but they're still so great, didn't get old at all...
Decon&Ghost are so much more mature (ok maybe not Decon ahah), Dev evolved in a good way for all these years .... but i can't format my brain so i'll ear Devin for the 1st time again, so i voted City/OM

Unfortunately for me, it's unlikely anything will ever top OM for what it meant to me when I found it. So uh, it always gets the vote in these sorts of contests.

Ocean Machine is my favorite Devy record. I love Ghost, too.

I like new Devin best. In all honesty, I dig Addicted more than Synchestra and Terria, and Deconstruction more than any of his work with Strapping.

CIty is my all-time favourite Devin album, but since I wasn't aware of Dev in 1997 I'll go for 2011.
Ocean machine and deconstruction are at about the same level.
but Ghost is slightly better than city imo. (though city is still seriously amazing stuff)

'97... As much as I LOVE Ghost, and by jaysus do I love that albums to bits, I never listen to Deconstruction. Never really liked it. It was cool live and all but it's probably my least favourite Devin album ever. So yeah. Ocean Machine and City win. Pity I didn't know about them when I was 7 years old though. Although they probably would've warped my then-fragile little mind.

OM is a little bit better than decon/ghost but both decon & ghost are better than city so i voted for 2011.

Went with '97. Spirituality and Funeral just tipped the scales.
