I'm an indie writer from Ontario, Canada. I'm best known for the Spinward Fringe series of gritty space opera novels. I dabble in horror-adventure and fantasy as well. I do it full time, it's an amazing gig.

When I write I fill the room (or my ear-holes, if I have to use headphones), with music. For many years your music has been tops on the list of tunes I play while I'm writing, to the point where I can confidently say that a part of every book I've written in the last 7 or more years has been written while listening to the incredible sounds of SYL, Physicist, or another Devin Townsend effort.

I'm currently in production on a podcast that answers a lot of questions about the Spinward Fringe universe, discusses science fiction, and the future of humanity. At the end of each half hour show I'm featuring a tune, and would love to include more than one track from your discography. I'll be honest, my knowledge of your music ends at about 2009, but I've just found your new stuff and ordered the Calm & the Storm-Deconstruction & Ghost boxed set. It can't get here fast enough.

Crewcast Radio will launch to between 2,000 - 3,000 listeners, and will grow with time. My personal readership includes over 100,000 people from every corner of the globe, so there's potential. We're producing the majority of this season's episodes before releasing the first one, so we're about a month away from premiering.

Thank you for some incredible music, and hello to the Hevydevy community! It's good to be among you at long last!

Tweet him. The general rule of thumb is that if it's non-profit then it's fine (still polite to ask though), but otherwise management gets involved. But yeah tweet him when he's back from the UK (I think next week) and hopefully he'll get back to you!

Yeah, the two discs I ordered came in yesterday and I realized that I had managed to get the last two albums in a 4 part concept set. So, yesterday I ordered everything I don't have in my collection from Devin Townsend. As hard as it is, I'm putting the last two parts of this concept set aside until everything else comes in.

I'll be listening to all his albums in sequence, which should be a blast because I only have the earlier half of his discography.

Should be a fucking uuber-fantastic writing day. I'll make sure I come back and post something here about it when the mad carnival is over.
