Just thought it was worth posting this. You may never read this but if you do I would like you to know that I actually dont know where I would be without your music, just gone through the old emotional cliche of a massive break up and without your music I would be lost right now. For all I know, you might have even stopped me doing something stupid. I am sure others have been helped like this too, and I just thought it might be nice for you to know that your music has helped people in a lot of deep ways :D

Thanks Devin, and I cannot fucking wait to hear Ghost and Deconstruction :guitar:

I also have a similar experience. Right before I discovered Dev, (about 2 years ago right after Ki), was pretty much the worst period of my life. Honestly I think my life would be completely different right now without that record (Ki). So yeah, I believe Dev's music resonates some sort of healing power I guess

even though it seems weird, I'm with ya and would like to say thank you dev. :)

I've had the same quite a while ago, Ocean Machine kept me company after a long relationship ended.

I totally think listening to your music your music made me a (little) better person, more open-minded. Ocean Machine and Terria brought me new horizons.
Thank you for what you've done for Music!

it was 3-4 years ago since Dev's music had changed my life and music perception. i have tons of favourite bands in differents styles... but Dev's music is №1, it's a real soundtrack for my life and i can connect every event with a song or an album... this music forms me as a listener, person and musician. Thanks Devy =)

Is it just me who's spirituality has been influenced too? This time last year I was a dedicated Wiccan, now I am much more edging towards a sort of amalgamation of Taoism, Buddhism and New Age, massively influenced by some of the songs and Devy's interviews.

Please say it's Dudeism!

But no, youre not. I've had pretty zen moments because of his music, other times forcing me to confront the volatile and often juvenile existence of humanity. Introducing me to Kat Epple's music also earned him a fuckton of kudos from me on the spiritual side. Seriously, if you haven't already, look her up. There's very few musicians who get straight into music that's supposed to make you feel and think as effectively as her. It's awesome!

Not only that, being a Dudeist priest n'all, I last met and saw Devin on the 6th March - the Dudeist holy day.

Coincidence? Probably. Awesome? Definitely!

I really like the idea of dudeism, am i right in saying its essentially a modernised form of taoism but inspired by the Big Lebowski?

My Taoism is directly attributed to Pooh.

Also, Dev's music is meh, but his spatula is muy excellente!

Exactly dude.

Also, there's a version of the Tao Te Ching that's been revised to use nothing but Big Lewbowski quotes and situations. It's an awesome read. It also makes things easier if you have a fondness for white russians lol And unlike most religion, it doesn't force a tonne of crap on you. The whole point is to take and use what you want to, so long as it makes your situation better. I know plenty of non-practicing dudes, and a handful who take it a little more to heart.

At the very least, it's a great way to kill an afternoon laughing at what the guys put up on the site.

Atm, I'm thinking about writing an article about Dudeism and metal, discussing the points that work between them and the differences that separate them. With that in mind, Devin's a great example. Like a vibe based Jekyll and Hyde. Besides, even The Dude was pretty undude at times.
